This. America is still the most powerful country in the world by quite a bit, and will remain so for at least the next decade by all projections. Our economy has major effects on the economy of pretty much every other country on the planet. And Trump in particular has a lot of policy ideas that would have absolutely major reprecussions worldwide, like wanting to make NATO partners bear more of the burden, wanting to stop free trade, etc.
