Im not a stickler for those sort of things, I mainly just want them to complete the pokedex.
Every few years (usually when the next Pokemon game comes out) I get the urge to "Catch'em All". I'll start playing one of the Pokemon games (I've own one from nearly every Gen for my collection, but I haven't played many of them) beating it, getting most of the Pokemin in that game, and then usually burning out on the task of trying to get them all because of some annoying legendary or other rare pokemon.
Then a year or two passes and I get the urge to go back again, haha. Most recently I was playing through Leaf Green, and I was doing great up until Champion Road where I was under leveled and didn't want to slog through the area.
You can still go all the way from Sapphire to Alpha Sapphire if you've got a DS with GBA abilities and a 3DS handy.
I'm at 653 out of 721 right now. So close.
i get the urge to catch all pokes towards the end of each gen but, since i complete only the dex of the current region, it's not much work since technically i already caught the past ones at least once.
one day i'll get around having one of every poke in a single cart. the pokemon bank makes that a lot more doable now since trading in the past was so slow..

The HAs are pretty questionable though , Articuno's is actually pretty good, Zapdos and Moltres are both very circumstantial (since they require taking physical hits which they are both bad at). Articuno on the other hand is terrible to start with competitively so Snow Cloak probably won't help much unless you're running a Hail Team.
2016 has been a superb year for Pokémon giveaways so far. Love it.
Super bummed I haven't got Hoopa yet.

Count me in for a code begging request. My Gamestop never seems to have any. I don't know what they do with all their codes, but they always 'run out' in the first 8 hours. I've got nothing to give back in return though, unfortunately.

Code Mew is a Poke Centre collection just like internet gets so you can just collect > check (since its level 100) and reset if not happy.
The only things you can't really save scum are things that use the PokeBox style transfer.
Some things like Rayquaza in ORAS and Xerneas/ Yve are mega pains though since you're forced to catch them before you have easy checking.

Save right before the attendant girl. Get Mew, check stats and nature. Reset without saving until satisfied.
Damn... Mind blown.
I thought the first time you talked to the girl would mean turning the flag down, and if you don't save, the mon is lost. I should try this, it's actually far, far easier than SR legendaries ^_^

I'm in the same boat. I never got any correspondence newsletters from that site. I'm on the site now and don't even understand how to receive emails or turn them off on here.
So bummed I missed the Legendary Birds...
Always had emails turned on, never receieved a renewal email, and made sure to triple check that had it was still turned on before the 22nd. Might send support an email if I don't get the birds code tomorrow. Would really like at least the Moltres. ^-^

I would just like to know where on their pokemon sites you can even turn on/off emails. I don't even see that option anywhere.
Log on, on the left click "Profile Overview", then scroll all the way to the bottom for "Email Preferences". It worked for me the last time a code was given by email.
Edit: this is for the US www.pokemon.com site. Not sure if other regions are different.

Same. It was recommended (I think by Joe?) To wait til Friday, then give support a try. If you had your email preferences checked before the 22nd, they might be able to help. Worth a shot at least.

I have a pair of Darkrai codes (NA) I'd like to trade. I'm looking for Hoopa. Other pokemon I have for trade are Kyurem, Giratina, Mesprit, Virizion, Lugia, Heatran, Rayquaza, Celebi, and Zygarde. Right now, Hoopa is the only one I think I've missed getting.
