Pretty much any platform should be fine. Here's how many people are playing Battlefield 4 on each platform right now.

I know PS4 numbers for BF are generally higher, but is there an explanation for this? Always wondered.

Glad they have Levelcap there, he's a great YouTuber. Hope they can put Jackfrags, Metimio and XFactor there and do a live squad up.

BATTLEFIELD 1914

Well if they're going with the first World War, there's a lot of things for them to use.

The Germans were the first to use chemical weapons in battle. Poison and mustard gas were used most often by them, thus why you see the freaky gas masks on the troops.

Also, planes and zeppelins were used.

Trench warfare was intense and brutal(close quarter fighting with hands, bayonets, whatever you could find to pick up).

Goliath tracked(wired) mines. Basically the Germans used remote control miniature tanks loaded with explosives and drove these under allied tanks and then detonated them.

That is not a WW1 tank, or RPG

When the unveil starts, can we cut the toddler-style "I want my toy represented best!!!" argument over marketing deals and "lead platforms"?

It's embarrassing when Sony fans do it. It's embarrassing when Microsoft fans do it. It's just embarrassing over all.

It's been like 40 pages of this now.

And a chorus of voices cried out...

full on destruction was 100% better. if this doesnt have bc2 level destruction i aint buying this shit.

His point is absolutely correct, though. The pacing in maps like Arica Harbor would grind to a halt once all the buildings were leveled. Hardly anybody enjoyed the ensuing Rattenkrieg. And that level of destruction meant that nearly every building was a copy-paste job, making for some pretty dull layouts and strategies.

Battlefield 4 was better in this regard, but because there's no way the hardware today would be able to handle dynamic destruction of skyscrapers, office buildings, TV stations, and whatever, they instead put in scripted "levolution" which a lot of players grew tired of fairly quickly. Each approach has its pros and cons.

I think for destruction a mix of BC2 and BF4 would be good. Digging into BF4s destruction, it's good during the bigger maps. Lands can be blown up to become holes, buildings can be destroyed (sure it was scripted in a sense), walls can be destroyed. BF4 definitely would be a good choice to update on a micro level. If they go further and improve upon it then DICE is crazy lol.

Also, no levelcap please ;_; More xfactor or matimi0 would be better.

Right, but how on earth are those numbers so much higher than PC?

Consoles are generally the highest selling platforms for AAA games.

The actual number of people who own PCs that could run Battlefield 4 in the first place isn't necessarily all that different than the number of PS4s out there.

There's a reason companies like Blizzard and Valve aim to make their games scale down very well instead of just up.

Are we back in 2011 again? Origin is fine. It actually caused Steam to make some much-needed changes.

I don't hate Origin at all.
Just saying lots of PC users have Gabe Newell's cock firmly planted in their rectum.
If it was on Steam, those numbers would be higher no doubt.

Don't know? Maybe more people own a PS4 than people who own a PC that can run BF4 properly?

I honestly don't know.

Edit: Nirolak has the same thoughts. Seems that might be the case.

Ah, forgot about the requirements on PC. Yeah that makes more sense. Thanks.

I'd love it if they included these, especially trench battles and the German Panzer

He might not have put it in the best terms, but there is a defense force for all the bullshit steam continues to doll out. People treat valve as a grass roots company when they have more money per employee than apple.
Sure, it works as a means to buy and launch games with decent customer support. No more, no less. It's fine.
Well steam still doesnt have customer support so its already inferior to me.

Right, but how on earth are those numbers so much higher than PC?

PC gamers stick to games longer most of the time. Instead of flavour of the day. BF4 got good support also. PC crowd disliked Hardline and Battlefront but still want that DICE magic. And with BF4 being great since DICE LA took over a while ago. They just play that these last 1.5 years.
