My guess for Rowlet is that it becomes like a Victorian gentleman owl, with a creepy cloak made of leaves. Maybe add in Assassin's Creed hidden leaf blades.

I'm hoping they evolve the bowtie motif and he ends up wearing a full suit or a tux or something. that'd be great

Whoa, hold the phone---didn't even realize it was part-Flying.

This means it's our first dual-Type first form Starter since Bulbasaur in Gen 1 with Grass/Poison. I figured Game Freak decided not to do that anymore since it sort of defeats the purpose of the Starter being used to teach the basics of the Type triangle by having one of them immediately complicate things with the dual-Type, though Flying doesn't really effect Water or Fire so no biggie.

Litten can attack with flaming hairballs! Its fur is rich in oils and immensely flammable. Litten grooms itself by licking its fur, and then uses the collected fur as fuel for fireball attacks!

Resists Fighting and Water and Grass, with an immunity to Ground

Weak to Fire and Rock and Flying and Poison and super weak to Ice

Doesn't seem promising, though it's not like we've had any Pokemon in the typing with great stats.

My guess at the Litten and Popplio ending evolutions, I think Popplio is going to be Water/Psychic since its controling water and is acrobatic. Then Litten will be Fire/Ground or Fire/Rock to be a volcano cat for hawaii.

Hiya! I wish I was good at making an avatar so I could make one of it posing. As of right now Popplio is my first choice but that could change once we see the starter evolutions.

The only other Grass/Flying we've had is Tropius. Who knows, they could make it work somehow.

The first is very cute and I like owls in general, the second looks like a nasty little cat, those stripes may eventually make it a tiger and I get Fire/Dark vibes from it.

My theory is that they'll simplify the IV system in Gen VI, since Gen I only had 1-15 IVs. Maybe evem remove them altogether. At this point, IVs are just a hindrance, really.

Rowlet is by far the cutest starter and my favorite of the bunch, but it's grass/flying type makes me think it's kinda doomed to be bad, but heeeey you never know I guess.
Litten has a silly name, but it's evolutions have some huge potential (pls don't disappoint me like Fennekin did).
Popplio seems kinda...meh? Not sure how to feel about it. Hope the evos are better.

The owl is cute, but I'm definitely starting with Litten ... the seal looks weird, but the animation gives it personality. It's like a cross between a dog and a seal.

All these years later and they still continue with Chinese Zodiac Fire starters and Amphibious Water starters

They gave up their "reptile/amphibian" Grass starter pattern with Gen VI and Gen VII seems to have continued to ignore it. So I guess Grass really doesn't have a pattern.

The only other Grass/Flying we've had is Tropius. Who knows, they could make it work somehow.

Oh, I'm not concerned with getting all of them. I'm just torn on which one I'll pick on the initial play through.
