Pokémon Sun and Moon Starters Revealed. Releases November 18th 2016.

Just noticed, even though I'm a million years late I'm sure, boxart still says "some areas playable in 3D" or whatever.

What a disappointment they probably still couldn't figure out the technical side even enough just to get the overworld in 3D. Man.

I think the starters all look decent, though Rowlet is my favorite, which works since I always pick grass.

To many damn shapes for the cat. Here is what it should look like.

It just needs some red on its paws and it's good to go.

Eh, I don't really mind this. I only put 3D on every now and then when a pokemon evolves, for the novelty factor.

Yeah it sucks, but I'll take no 3D for better visuals/framerate if it came down to that.

Starter/playing story:

1) Squirtle
2) Totodile GOAT <3
4) Piplup*
3) Torchic*
5) Oshawott
6) Chespin :(
7) Popplio

* yep, didn't had a GBA; only played Gen3 after Gen4 through my old DS Lite, so that's why my gen3-4 positions are swapped.

Usually I prefer Water-types, except at Gen3 (no, u didn't herd I liek Mudkipz).
At Gen6 I disliked Froakie at first sight so I tried Chespin. Soon I regretted doing that, should have started with Froakie instead (Greninja <3)

I like how they fixed the proportions of the models and landscape, so it looks more realistic. The starters are not that nice, but I care more about their evolutions.

The Pokemon look awesome, people just always complain, clockwork at this point. Pokemon designed by GAF would be the worst shit ever.

My first playthroughs for each game, I picked the following:

I: Squirtle
II: Totodile
III: Mudkip
IV: Turtwig
V: Oshawott
VI: Chespin
VII: Rowlet

LOVE Rowlet, not crazy about the other 2. Way better than the misery that were the Gen V starters.

I'm hoping it's New 3DS enhanced, Game Freak has been decent about supporting revisions like that in the past. I just want it to be 3D everywhere without framedrops.

Do you think we'll be able to dress up our character like in X/Y ?
I thought that feature was great, it's too bad they didn't keep it for the last remake we had

Will continue my tradition of picking the Grass type starter and go with Rowlet. Watch it have a beastly final evolution. The overworld looks great, too. Much nicer designed than X/Y.

Since we're putting starters :
1 - Charmander
4 - Piplup
6 - Chespin/Charmender
3r - Treeko

And 7 is going to be Litten because by god the others are ugly!

When I saw them when I woke up I was like they look horrid. But after looking at them closely and thinking about the possibilities of their final evolutions and saw their descriptions on the pokemon website, I think they are pretty cool.

You can't always 'figure out the technical side' when it comes to pushing hardware limitations. At some point you have to weigh the compromises that would have to be made and decide if they are worth it. For me personally (and I'd imagine many others), I couldn't care less if the game has any 3D because I will be playing 100% of the time in 2D.

While we're sharing Starter lists.

1)Bulbasaur
2)Cyndaquil
3)Treecko
4)Turtwig
5)Oshawott
6)Chespin

I'm torn between Water and Grass this time. Will, wait until final evos come out until committing g.

Considering the overworld is now even more intensive than X & Y, are you surprised?

Just watched the trailers. That short Japanese movie was something else. Really cute

The Hawaii location looks rad, it all looks less square-based too. There's some nice array of skin tones for the trainer (and NPCs)... tho it's too bad gingers are getting shafted again!

And then ofcourse there's the starters. Honestly I didn't expect there to be new starters, despite all evidence pointing towards all new legendaries. I guess this officially makes it gen 7 then?

The owl's head twirl animation is goofy, but the leaf bra looks awkward. ...Or is it supposed to be a bowtie? Either way, not too hot about this first form... which probably means that its last one is gonna be totally rad!
I'm split between the mopey fire cat and dopey clown seal as the best of the trio for now. They're both adorable in their own way! Unless there's going to be some totally swell wild monsters, I'm gonna do a first playthrough with both of them. Wonder Trade spam, away!
