That plus, day/night cycles, possibly dynamic weather, and better lighting.
True that, forgot about those since I haven't touched GT6 in a while.

- Collisions look as bad as they always did and there's no damage to cars (seriously, why is it so difficult for a GT game to have any kind of damage to cars, even if it's just cosmetic, something like Driveclub? ffs)
Still better than me, I haven't even touched GT6 at all. LOL.True that, forgot about those since I haven't touched GT6 in a while.
They had cosmetic damage in gt5. Worked pretty good. I'd be surprised if they go backwards from that. But obviously whatever damage they have in mind is not ready to show here.
Quoting this post again just to show what I said earlier, that screenshot is probably a low poly LOD model, probably a glitch, here's the same scene in another race (and I got a white car where it's easier to notice the poligonal edges), see how much more 'round' the model is:

So here's what I got from all the footage I've seen:
+ Trees look much better than in previous GTs (don't get fooled by the trailer footage)
+ Car models are very detailed, probably even more so than in F6
+ Motion blur is very high quality
+ Sense of speed is great
+ Lighting is incredible, as expected
+ Photomode looks awesome and there's livery editor (finally)
+ HDR looks really good
- Engine and tire sounds are not improved at all, apparently
- Landscapes look bland at times
- Collisions look as bad as they always did and there's no damage to cars (seriously, why is it so difficult for a GT game to have any kind of damage to cars, even if it's just cosmetic, something like Driveclub? ffs)
- Tearing and aliasing are very apparent
Yeah have to be different builds.
They're calling these "super premiums" as in cars built from scratch for this game. My guess is GT7 will also feature the "regular" premiums from GT5/6 that were futureproofed (at least in terms of polycounts), but still probably require some work (texturing/material etc) to get them up to speed in the current engine hence why they're not featured here. But that's just speculation.Interesting to see the car count at 137. I thought Polyphony said the Premium quality cars in GT5/GT6 were future proof? Guess not.

It would be scandalous if shadows didn't move ten years ago. Why the excitement?I think I saw car shadows moving around based on car position relative to sun/lights.
Too bad stream resolution was not high enough to see the details clearly.
Any word on VR support for this?
I have to wonder if the people guessing at 2 different builds being shown are on to something. The game looks so inconsistent. Beautiful at times, and gaggy at others.*
*To keep it in perspective, gaggy by our expectations. Video games are still amazing.

That would also require at least a locked-like-a-law-of-nature 60fps, right?VR is one of the main selling points.
That would also require at least a locked-like-a-law-of-nature 60fps, right?
So there's a positive.
Does anybody know if VR support mandates 1080p as well?
so you can add decals but any word on body kits besides rims and spoilers?
I don't think so. 60fps is the only known requirement for PSVR right now. That would also require at least a locked-like-a-law-of-nature 60fps, right?

Fixed.Well, i was impressed by the trailer. I thought everything looked really good along with the variety of photo mode locations.
LOLWho is the voice actor for the car sounds?
I can't get over how dissapointed I was with this showing last night. I always joked that they would fuck it up but still had hope somewhere that I'd be wrong. The only silver lining is that they will see the feedback and maybe try and fix a few things.
I'm gonna play some Forza and PCars today to cleanse my soul.
saw on snapchat that a 24h race is going to be in the game (this was apparently said at the presentation), so i think weather and day/night cycles are basically confirmed.Theres a Q&A session with Kaz happening tomorrow. Im sure sounds, weather and day/night will be addressed.

Gran Turismo isn't a serious racing game anymore.
...still clearly based on GT6 tech and it shows with all its limits including ... no mention of damages, weather, dynamic day/night cycle and more.

dedWho is the voice actor for the car sounds?
Do people not realize that GT can't have collisions because the car manufacturers won't allow it?
Any links to last night's stream?

Any mention of dynamic ToD, weather, AI improvements, audio improvements etc?

Is that a pictorial representation of the general feeling in this thread?
