Wow, Metallica usully dont let their music in movies a lot, especially a movie like this.
was it the whole song?
+ Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse. While I would have liked a more direct adaptation from the 90's cartoons, he was still good here. Was a great feeling seeing the character finally on-screen after years and years of hoping.
Horse shit.
Go watch the pile of crap that is the King of Fighters movie if you want to see how "good" Maggie Q is.
Munn did great and looked great.
Yeah, Olivia Munn had nothing to do in this film, it's not her fault her character was wasted. I still think she pulled off the look and I liked her costume. I think they could redeem Psylocke by having her show up as a member of X-Force if they're going with the black-op version of the team.
What IS super weird is all the emphasis and focus on Jubilee out of all the new X-men, when she isn't even a character in the film. She's not part of the team, she's not part of the story, she's not anything but a cameo.
Because she is a beloved X-Men and everyone knows her from the cartoon.Maybe she will have a bigger role in the next film? Still weird about the marketing focus on her for this one though.

That said, wasnt she more a 90s X-Men anyway? I can be wrong.
Yeah, it was strange how she was used in the marketing. I guess there's lots of material on the editing room floor.
Oh noes, Munn's body isn't lean enough to be Psylocke! And, and there was that one scene where her belly was too big! It was totally gross, like sharp knees! She's not hot Asian waifu material like I demand Psylocke to be!They never focused the camera on her too long but her body isn't lean/long enough and she looked like she was wearing a one piece bathing suit. And her acting is terrible and she just ends up looking dopey. At the end when she glared at the xmen and wandered off. just terrible. Very miscast. Maggie Q could have done this better.
Olivia Munn.. urghhh. there was one shot where her belly looked really big.
anyhow. Movie was badd...
so I know if they make a sequel, where they'll go next.
I don't think it's weird for Psylocke to be used in marketing because she's one of the Horsemen. Regardless of the size of the actual role, thematically it makes sense to use the villain team in marketing. It's not really disingenuous either, as long as said villains get into fights with the good guys, which they do.

I find it hilarious that Scarlet Witch is dead here and Quicksilver is alive.
And wait, Jubilee is supposed to be in more scenes? Darn, was actually disappointed we didn't see her powers.

I don't think that was supposed to be her. The name's different.
Who said Scarlet Witch is dead here?
Quicksilver had 2 sisters in DoFP (or 1 if you didn't count the deleted scene)
Maybe it's just me but I feel there's like a "technology dissonance" here. Like I thought the basement looked a bit too "techy" for the 80's.
Maybe it's the lack of panels.
Wait, that wasn't SW? Then who was she supposed to be? I thought the powers were a bit on the "vague mystical" side.
Her name was Nina. Scarlet Witch would have to be at least named Wanda, twin or otherwise.
Who was the woman who was talking to Peter? Sure wasn't his mum unless they recasted. Wasn't the sister either because she was younger in the deleted scene and the other sister who was only mentioned in DoFP sounded closer to his age.
Edit: Seems like it was his mother.
So we still hasn't seen Scarlet Witch or that mentioned sister yet. So she's probably her.
Out of interest
Does it get mentioned how ridiculous it is that they all look basically the same as they did 20 years prior?

literally nobody could wear that outfit without it accentuating their stomach. it's really poorly designed, it has this big patch of blank fabric right over the tummy which makes it look really big.![]()

Wanda will probably show up if they do the Phoenix Saga. Nina's power seemed to be controlling or influencing animals.
Her first scene was the deer around her while she's talking/laughing with one.
Did you rike the Phoenix?![]()
Also, someone fill me in on this. When Wolverine was recovered at the end of the last film, wasn't it Mystique posing as Stryker? What happened there? They never addressed it in this one.
That's what we thought, but the writers have a bad memory so they probably thought it was the real Stryker who did it.
Hey, Mystique is a hero to mutants. Except that one time she posed as Stryker and a ducted Wolverine, and Stryker kept Wolverine and didn't think it was strange that he suddenly had a mutant he'd never caught in custody.
So, so awful.
This is so....strange. Easily the biggest plothole I've come across. :/
Just another reason why the entire Weapon X subplot should have been cut. It was pointless and really drags the entire film down!
I would have liked to have seen how the kids handled getting them out rather than just coming in after a feral Wolverine PG13 rampages his way through a whole base of soldiers.
But the kids got them out BY letting Wolverine take care of business.
Jean knew what was in there, and she let it out on purpose.
Again - the entire scene isn't about Wolverine. It's about Jean/Scott/Kurt figuring out how to work together and be a team on their own, without teacher supervision. Jean used Wolverine to do it.
What did Apocalypse mean when he said "all is revealed" before he died? Was he talking about the Phoenix?
So was Apocalypse actually brain washing the Horsemen or was he just persuasive? The movie wasn't very clear.
The movie didn't really clarify that, or even clarify why he needed Horsemen.
