I just find it entertaining to dump all over Golden State fans. It was fun to do it to Seahawks fans too! That's sports.
Look part of this sports thing is you make fun of the dudes who are at the top of the mountain, that fuck up. They are still great players in their own right but making jokes about them messing up is part of the charm.
all and all warriors last year weren't tested against healthy teams, this was eventually going to happen with or without the supernova being on his game
It's more than ok. Bandwagon fans are worse than Trump supporters. Is it okay if I find charm in watching a bandwagon get crushed?
Or in the case of the Pats, they're one and the same! It's more than ok. Bandwagon fans are worse than Trump supporters.
Going after people at the top is entertaining for some people. Happens to Lebron, happens to Curry, will happen to the next young phenom in the NBA. Just how it is sadly.
Even guys like Jordan wouldn't be immune from it if they played in the age of social media and 24/7 sports coverage imo. The internet makes it possible for everyone to spew garbage hot takes as soon as they think them up. Basically Skip Bayless all day, every day, without even having to leave the house.
Not a surprise that when an MVP whose style of play is jacking up shots like hes JR Smith starts missing them, the team loses.
If they lose to OKC (it looks like they will), the MVP and the regular season record won't mean shit because theyre chokers.
Steph doesn't care what any of us say, rightfully, and everyone knows it. People talk shit in response to his fans. That's what I don't get, why is it "fun" to tear people down who are at the top? I don't enjoy hating on any great athlete, but I can at least kind of understand why people hate on LeBron after The Decision, "not three, not four...", etc...
But what did Curry ever do besides play a fun brand of basketball at a high level? He doesn't bitch out his teammates, has a good balance of confidence/humility, and is good with the media. Hating on someone because you think it's fun to tear people down is childish and insecure.
And this is not bias talking here, I'm a Lakers fan and have no rooting interest in the playoffs besides seeing some good basketball (eg not that Heat/Raptors horror show in the second round).

The state your in idea is nonsenseIf your favorite sports team isn't from the state you live/grew up and you only became a fan once they were good you are by far worse than Trump supporters.
I love Steph but anyone who calls GSW their favorite team but didn't watch them pre-Steph should be embarrassed.
Same applies for pre-Lebron Cavs, Kobe Lakers...etc
Because a bunch of 20/30 year olds got personally offended that he and his team challenged the memory of their childhood hero Michael Jordan and beat their record.
It saddens me how eager some people are to tear Curry apart. By all accounts he's a good guy who has mastered a very entertaining and effective style of play. So why all the hate because his team will probably fall short this year? Sports fans are real shit heads sometimes. I'd like to see the Curry haters in this thread try to dribble a basketball without looking down.
As to this series, the likely explanation is a combination of OKC peaking at the right time and Curry still being affected by the torn MCL. Even against the Thunder's superior length and defensive versatility off switches, Curry looks hampered. He doesn't have the same explosiveness on his first step or that hair trigger confidence when shooting contested shots. That's not to take anything away from the Thunder as every team has to deal with injuries and they've found another gear.
I'm not a Warriors fan but I've been watching the NBA since Sarunas Marciulionis was on that team.If your favorite sports team isn't from the state you live/grew up and you only became a fan once they were good you are by far worse than Trump supporters.

Best case scenario for everyone, Raptors win the Championship. Everyone loses.
Also not everyone was born in a state that has a pro sports team.
He's cocky as fuck, just not as annoying as when Klay Thompson farts things out of his face.I'm sorry. I can't go with the Curry is humble narrative when he showboats on shots while they're still in the air. I know every pro has an ego so stars being humble always seemed fake to me.
Man please, how many of y'all in here copping pleas on Currys behalf will be here in a week piling on Lebron for choking & losing the series to the Raptors.![]()
But since its Curry, yall all kumbaya and whatnot.
They also thought Curry is such a god that his size doesn't matter but it clearly does by how Westbrook is working him.I like that Curry is cocky and does some fun show boating. I don't like that he gets a pass for doing stuff that other guys would be CRUCIFIED for.
The bandwagoners have been insufferable, tho. They thought his steals showed that he was a great defender. Aha!
I don't know what you are watching but Curry is getting straight up worked by Westbrook. There is more to the game than just one guys field goal percentage.Westbrook was 3-10 with Curry on him last night. Curry not being able to score / throwing the ball away is the real issue.
Don't even know how to respond to this.I don't know what you are watching but Curry is getting straight up worked by Westbrook. There is more to the game than just one guys field goal percentage.
Remember that time when Jordan had a really shitty Finals appearance and his team won the title anyway and a role player won the Finals MVP?
Oh. Really?
Oh my mistake.
That was Curry.
Honest mistake.
Honest.
They might, but I just can't see them winning three straight against this rejuvenated OKC team.If there's one team that can break the 1-3 record i think the GSW might.
It's a direct correlation. Westbrook is wearing out Curry so the rest of his game suffers.Don't even know how to respond to this.
Curry playing solid D does not mean he's been good. He's been terrible overall. Was merely commenting on the specific topic at hand (Curry's defense on Westbrook) with actual numbers.
Man y'all take everything to the extreme on here. It's crazy lol.
To an extent maybe, but him working on defense has never made his game suffer like this. Like some of his shooting stats in this series are mind boggling (11-28 on uncontested shots the last two games for example). It's a direct correlation. Unless of course his knee was still bothering him, which would make sense, but angry sports fans probably don't wanna hear that.
this is some of the dumbest shit i've ever read.If your favorite sports team isn't from the state you live/grew up and you only became a fan once they were good you are by far worse than Trump supporters.

Steph Curry needs a better supporting cast like Tristan Thompson, JR Smith, and Kevin Love.
More high level analysis on GAF. Just on fire today. Apologies for interrupting the feeding frenzy. And fans in denial don't wanna hear he is a mental midget and probably choking.

I admittedly can't keep up when we starting getting into "mental midget" accusations. It's that kind of hard-hitting analysis and discussion that goes over my simple fan brain.Coming from a fan, this means nothing honestly.

He may be, but I could never know that for sure. Just not willing to state it as an open and shut case. There's no way to prove it one way or another.Ok, I'll rescind the accusation.
The unanimous MVP is not living up to that status, hence why I think he's folding under pressure and choking hard.
The injury excuse when out the door after what he did to Portland in OT.
Cavs look scary good at home and Lebron is still Lebron. Think it could go either way, but Cavs will put up a big fight at least. The One and Done;204685588 said:So how do we think the Cavs will fare against the Thunder I'm the finals?

Either way, the end result is as you describe. He hasn't been anywhere near an MVP level and his team is getting owned. No disputing that.

Curry seems like the type of player that his level of play is determined by his confidence.
When he's cocky as fuck, lights out, but if he questions himself it really shows.
MJ had bad games here and there, and when his shots weren't falling, he would at least drive to the basket and draw fouls, gaining points at the free throw line.
Curry seems to defer far too often lately and when he does drive, can't even finish easy layups.
He's definitely been a little too passive imo. And the missed layups are rough. Steven Adams and Ibaka (and even Durant) has all of Golden State seeing ghosts when they try and score inside.Curry seems like the type of player that his level of play is determined by his confidence.

I'd lol if it ends up being 4-1 in favor of the Cavs , LeBron wins again against Durant
I just hope they don't go ghost :/ Thunder can still go ghost and lose if they advance
Ibaka guarding Love will be like Ibaka guarding Battier , leaving him open for 3's
I fucking despise bandwagoners, but you guys gotta realize that hatewagoning is just as pathetic.
Time for an education: everyone who jumped on GS fandom this year or last year sucks, true; but all y'all who came outta the woodwork reveling in their failure after OKC's domination are equally frontrunning. A team does good, people jump on their wagon - yeah, fuck 'em. A team does bad, people suddenly hatin' out their minds - fuck them too.
Cavs in 7.The One and Done;204685588 said:So how do we think the Cavs will fare against the Thunder I'm the finals?
It's really only fun to rag on Curry because of the unanimous MVP thing. It wasn't his fault but it was obviously a mistake. If he was unanimously the best player in the NBA, he wouldn't be playing like shit the past few games. Jordan was a much better overall player and even he never got a unanimous award. Then, add in all the bandwagoners that were saying 2 weeks ago that GS will sweep all the way to the finals since Curry can't miss and now it's easy to see why they are catching shit.
