Let's just say it's low-tier filler and it doesn't count... cause man... at least Z filler was at least useful half the time and much of the in-between Super stuff really was a lot better than this.
2 minutes Kagari...2 minutes!!! They're supposed to get better not worst. Dragonball Goku more like! Super my +&%&+&

Well on the bright side, they can't possibly be relying on the fusion anymore, given how worthless it has become.

Huh? No. This takes place before the end of Z, so we know that they're supposed to slack on their training and not make any progress.

To be fair, Trunks laughed when Goten was complaining he had to fight Buu and Goku told him he would have been fine if he had trained.

So we don't know how weak Trunks ends up, we just know he doesn't train as much as Vegeta would like, but Vegeta's standards are ridiculous.

Both
Edit: wait nah I take that back nerfed

Goku was putting up a somewhat even fight with Beerus in base, and current copyjita also was even with him.

Gotenks could be 54 times stronger than he was in Buu saga, he still wouldn't do shit to Vegeta.

Also, I guess it's what we call bad timing, but this episode coupled with my rewatch of Hunter X Hunter just destroyed the show for me. Garbage, getting really bored of the Goku show.

Goku is the hero, the problem is, with this pacing, nobody has the time to be relevant but him.

Which would be fine if they decided to actually make the show about Goku and stick to that. have Goku go on adventure in other worlds, why not. But have other characters be fodder and time waster is just insulting.

I said my piece a couple pages ago about how they could make it better without messing up power levels but Idc no more they don't care either. Goku with a bit of vegeta sprinkled in is all we'll get

Maybe gohan

Better hope Goku Black arc includes multiple bad guys or nobody is gonna get some shine.
That's not surprising to me at all that SSJ3 Gotenks would be a lot weaker than current base Vegeta tbh.

Toriyama and Toei are basically making every online discussion about power levels irrelevant. :p
Edit
Except that also means Cabba is stronger than Gotenks and I can't tolerate that, personally.
That could mean a whole bunch of universe 6 sayians could he stronger than Gotenks...

At a con and saw some dbz figures. The bulma one where she is holding the mp40 is so good. Trying hard not to spend 50 bucks. Also all the beerus ones look weird.

Pretty mediocre episode, a huge step down visually from last week. Tate was supposedly working on this week but turns out he wasn't, which should mean he is being given a longer amount of time on his first Trunks arc episode, especially since he isn't even doing 46. Also based on the rotation the guy who should be doing 46 was one of two supervisors on this episode while next week is instead an episode by Yashima, who is typically someone who does episodes mostly by himself. I guess they decided to make the first couple post tournament episodes look good and then sacrifice the last two episode before the new arc so that the best animators could focus on the next arc.
Hopefully Tate has episode 47.

Also hopefully after this episode and next week's episode they don't have to sacrifice episodes like this ever again, at least it wasn't as bad as some of the F arc stuff.

So jaco can't even fly, whats the point of the galactic patrol if they are a bunch of scrubs?

Same as the equally useless Galactic King I guess. They're useless, but just existed in a pocket of the galaxy that let them think they weren't.

I wonder, did the galactic patrol and galactic king exist when Freiza ruled the galaxy?

Yes they knew of Frieza, but likely were just afraid of him.

So next episode doesn't look too special, but we'll at least get our first look at the Trunks arc in that episode's NEP, plus around Thursday or Friday we should get our first real info from Weekly Jump.
I'm not too bummed about them sacrificing these final two episodes of this filler arc, especially if that just means they're putting all that towards the Trunks arc, it's just weird to go from episodes 42, 43 and 44 having great art and animation to this.

Don't wanna be the bad news bearer, but according to the rotation they have been using since the beginning, the Trunks episode should be handled by one of the worst team.

According to people on Kanzenshu forums.

No, the rotation is all mixed up now, that's what I was just saying. Kitano should have been next week and Yashima should have been the week after that, but instead we got Kitano this week and next week is Yashima, Tate wasn't in his normal spot in the rotation so he should be showing up soon.
We should be getting Tate, Ishikawa or someone new for episode 47.

In spite of how he acts, Jaco is actually a joke among the Galactic Patrol. They sent him to Earth to kill a certain Saiyan that was heading there, but he only got the mission in the first place because they considered that the planet was irrelevant and even if he failed it'd be no problem at all.

The Galactic Patrol itself was an annoyance that attacked Freeza's troops, but without challenging Freeza himself. In the Dragonball Minus chapter, Goku's mother even warns him about them while sending him to Earth (he actually seems to be at least around 3 or 4 years old in the manga, which makes more sense than Baby Goku in the anime, considering how Raditz expected him to know about his mission. Although, according to DB Minus, he was never sent to conquer the planet, just sent to a weak planet where it'd be easy for him to survive. But Raditz couldn't know that, just like the Galactic Patrol, since he was elsewhere with Vegeta).

Meh episode. I think I would have preferred more slice-of-life episodes like the one two weeks ago instead of these "we're buying time" villains.

The gap between Goku/Vegeta to everyone else on Earth is so ridiculously large. I don't think its ever been anywhere near this big. Even Magetta was giving Base Vegeta a tougher fight.

Also, have Goten/Trunks been training then? I'd imagine you'd have to keep very in shape to be able to handle SSJ3.

Even Vegeta to an extent is getting overshadowed by perfect Goku.

It's a fusion, not Goten and Trunks by themselves.

I know... but that's irrelevant.

Even still. If they aren't doing HTC level or above training [they were only able to ascend to SSJ3 after the HTC training Buu Saga] I can't imagine them being able to maintain this level of strength if they're hardly ever training for years. They'd decline like Gohan has.

They still play around physically and fly around, while Gohan was studying and such. If they were doing HTC level training, they'd be stronger, not just stuck on the same level as before or even worse - in Z they could keep SSJ3 for 5 minutes, here it seems to be only 2 minutes.

Besides, weakened Gohan still was strong enough to send a guy that completely tanked Piccolo's attack flying. I don't really agree with the people who place him bellow Cell Saga level.

I've been out of the loop for awhile, and the last two episodes don't really seem worth watching (based on the comments), so someone please aware me. What is this "Trunks arc" you all keep referring to?

Future Trunks will return to the show two weeks from now because a new villain called
Goku Black
is wreaking havoc in his timeline.
