Ibuki, like all SF3 characters, was never popular anywhere.
ibuki appearance in 4 had to be non canon.
In 3S, she was just graduating from high school.

So she is yunger than SFIII version.

It's kinda...pandery? Like, I'm all for pandering. But for a ninja character, that is an embarrasing outfit. It could be cooler, is what I'm saying. But it's not.

Folks at street fighter might like manga other than jojo.
Odd I know considering they are still reaching down out of that jojo well, but they do. And sometimes they make references to those things.

Ibuki has been wearing skirts like this since 1997.
Her SF5 design is basically a combination of her default look and her school outfit from her SF3 ending.
Heck, she even had it as her alt in SSF4.
All through the SF3 series, she was in school. In her SF3: Third Strike ending she finally graduates. So, yeah, she should still be in school for SF5, since it's before SF3.
Gotta keep as many SF 2 characters in the tank for later because of how they deployed the game.

The mask is on, so we are good.they didn't show her character select face though. she could still be ugly there.
I would imagine considering bison isn't gone yet.
More importantly, will she have her 3rd strike intro outfit.

But just look at most of the reactions from the mainstream on Facebook, YouTube, Shoryuken comments. Some people are crazy mad because it wasn't Balrog.

I see nothing wrong with the outfit. In fact, I like it. She is still probably still a schoolgirl also, so it makes some sense. A hybrid of a ninja and a schoolgirl is pretty cool imo. That is another thing I like about Japanese developers when it comes to designs. You never know what to expect.

Naruto definitely popularized the hand symbols. I knew I thought Naruto created them a year or so ago. I just hadn't seen them in anything but Naruto, and then Xrd started using them.
And in IV she was in middle school.
Nobody's saying the character was inspired by Naruto, but the trailer certainly feels like it was.

Um they never EVER said DLC character would come with stages. The only time they ever mentioned a stage was for Season Pass owners as an apology for the Zenny store not being up. That was Airfield for Guile. Looks like Ibuki is coming with Daytime Kanzuki Estate though.
