the Mai/Trunks pairing from them. I guess this also might explain why the Pillaf gang was part of the audience in the manga, but wasn't there in the anime. Toriyama probably included them in the character list for the tournament basing it on the movies, rather than the tv show.

Just read somewhere it could be Goku from Universe 6, after Beerus revived that earth...but that would be to complicated...
