Doesn't the G1 only have one power connector? I think you need to step up to the Xtreme for 2?
Not sure if this has been posted. Found it on the nowinstock website, so who knows how valid it is. Someone on here did say that EVGA charged their card today.
Just got my shipping notification too. Scheduled delivery for tuesday!
Noone knows. The order fulfillment from their website is the most info we haveAny idea when the Amazon EVGA orders are likely to ship?
There are a number of games in your list I haven't seen benchmarks for, so I'm going to have to take your word that they can't hold 60 fps on 1440p. Some others in this list I've seen multiple benchmarks for though, demonstrating that they can maintain a comfortable 60 fps. This includes Hitman, Rise of the Tomb Raider, AC Unity, The Division (though I suspect this one may have some large drops), and even The Witcher 3 (without hairworks, admittedly), and a few others. It can be hard to tell what settings some of these benchmarks have used beyond the basics, so I've watched a few YouTube videos where the settings are clearly shown, with gameplay immediately after.
It's supposedly launch day now. My F5 is ready.Hoping for an Asus Strix pre-order in the next couple hours/tomorrow!
Is there anyway of being notified when the Asus strix is up for preorders? I'm on vacation and I can't stare at my phone all day :/
So I just keep refreshing this page?![]()
You can set up browser/e-mail/SMS alerts (scroll down a bit). I think you need to make an account, though, but it's a painless process -- IIRC, you don't need to verify your e-mail address, so once you've signed up, you're good to go.
You do need to verify an email.
Yet another German mini review of the Asus Strix 1080... (why always German damn it?)

Didn't understand much since I sucked at German even 16 years ago when I took classes, but it seems to hold it's boost clock well, even when going over the it's factory OC settings, with increased powerlimit. Though it seems to lock when going over 2100Mhz.
Any German speaking kind soul that can give a quick summary?

Hey guys, need some help / advice on my current rig. I'm definitely planning to upgrade to a 1080 card from my two 660Tis, but not sure what else I have to upgrade.
My rig:
CPU: Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs)
Mobo: Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 socket 1155LGA
Memory: 16 GB DDR3 @ 665.1 MHz
PSU: 850W Thermaltake
What can I keep and what should I replace?

I'd do a rebuild in the very near future based off of your config. Keep the PSU, but everything else will need to be replaced soon. Take a look at this vid, it should help a little.

I'd love to know if he says anything about the fan noise. It's at around 2000RPM in Witcher 3 so based on reviews on other sites, it's still loud but maybe he did a custom profile or something. Someone should try a custom profile.
Yeah, that's pretty much it. Only other thing worth pointing out is that he said the fans were quite loud at 70% but I guess that's to be expected.Yet another German mini review of the Asus Strix 1080... (why always German damn it?)

GALAX HOF. 2.2 air , 2.5 LN2. http://videocardz.com/60923/galax-overclocks-gtx-1080-to-2-2-ghz-on-air-2-5-ghz-with-ln2
I see nothing yet as of 10am easternIt's supposedly launch day now. My F5 is ready.
So it's assumed or fact that the Asus strix will be more powerful than the EVGA FTW?
We don't even have official clocks for the FTW yet, in theory FTW should provide more stable (over)clocks than Strix. So it's assumed or fact that the Asus strix will be more powerful than the EVGA FTW?

But that's all just pure speculation at this point, wait for the reviews.
btw, EVGA product manager apparently doesn't know anything about FTW delay as stated by Caseking/OCUK (the two shops appear to be related in some way, so that's maybe why they are apparently the only ones talking about this. I reserved a FTW at another shop on a prepayment basis just in case... sucks that most stores here don't offer a "we'll withdraw money once product is shipped" option)
17th to 28thDelayed from what to what?
So I got my current machine from that crazy HP prebuilt deal. The question is, how do I measure my current wattage so that I know if I can safely replace my 980 with the 1080? I know it's an increase of 15W, but I have no way to tell if it matters or not.
I guess I mean by more powerful I mean the factory overclock. Not really interested in going much higher than that. What do you mean with more powerful?
FTW has 10+2 phases vs Strix 8+2 and FTW has 8+8 pins vs Strix 8+6.
I don't think we have a review for FTW yet.
That's the problem. It's 500W haha.Open your case and check the PSU, if it is over 550W you are fine.

Gigabyte or MSI?
All these companies need to just give everyone a release date. Or at least open pre-order with an estimate of like 2 weeks. If it said ASUS Strix 1080 June 4th pre orders for estimated shipping of X no one would be mad, even if that estimated shipping was June 18th-July 4th. I just want a pre order at this point!
