I still think this guy is the best part of GT

Sick powerup, great costume

SS4 and the dragon arc were the only good things that came out of that.

Uub was always like, super nothing.

Stop trying to think to much about everything DBS/Movie related so much waste of time. I can't look DBS because I know everything DB ended years ago and they just wanna milking about our nostalgia.

I looked at the episode when everybody on the Internet go crazy and shit (aka SSJB x Kaioken) because of hope and was just utterly disappointed.

I took Super as a large scale (but still better then Naruto) filler arc. But I think the manga which is short and well paced is enjoyable.

It's still cool to see that Mirai Trunks is involved but at the same time there's already to many interesting character that need attention.

I'm waiting for the manga to catch up anyway.

Dragon Ball Super is the continuation of the world Toriyama created. What a weird ass rant.
Some People just Jump in that Thread rant And complain with no real Opinion i guess. "Bad Goku, future Trunks And Mai...what is this shit, i want hairy Goku fighting with retooled buu!"

Ideally we'll have a time-skip before the next arc starts...

please

Like I said before, if Future Trunks really has blue hair in the anime, I think they're planning a timeskip for later. Making both Trunks look different is the only reason for a change like this midway through the show, and they won't need to make that change currently considering how present Trunks still looks like a child.

Did Super Uub ever accomplish anything?

It's revealed later that he lost to Baby on purpose and was planning to destroy him from inside. But by the time he starts doing that Baby was a giant monkey and manages to throw him up, although he still distracts him for a while beforehand. And that's pretty much his biggest contribution, since in his later appearances they seem to forget that he was near the level of Super Baby 2 and portray him basically on the level of the Half Saiyans in SSJ. Goku in SSJ1 throws Super 17 around the planet with a kick, but beforehand Super 17 completely tanked Uub's kicks.

Don't expect people to have the same opinion as yours. As 'real opinion' I guess that mean what people have to say is meaningless?

So that does not make it better in anyway. It's like saying you have to love the next installment of a video game because it's in the the world of his predecessor. Talk about nonsense huh.

It's a thread, we talk and that's it.

We get it, there's only 151 Pokemon.

Move along. We getting hyped

.

Wait, now that I think about it, did you even watch the right episode? The one people loved is the one where Goku actually activates the Kaioken, rather than the one where the battle ends.

Enjoy what you love, I don't love it because of the poor plot not because they bring Dragon Ball back. I'd love to enjoy but it's not good imo.

I played until PKMN Pearl/Diamond, nice try.

I see the all thing, Vegeta vs Hit, then Goku vs Hit. But wasn't hype, because I wasn't surprise about the whole recycle think (from light moment/mood, to humor, or transformation).

I'm the kind of guy who love to see Goku out, to make Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, Trunks even C18 (she's still pretty strong) shine for a long time, not to prepare the field for Goku but the whole SSJ God think just blow up every possibilities. Still praying for better plot as the serie goes.

That just sounds like you wouldn't like anything featuring Goku at this point. Really, Goku is the protagonist, so he'll likely get the climax of every arc.

Super actually made it very easy for the others to catch up with Goku, since apparently it's possible to get God Ki just by training with Whis, with no ritual necessary at all. However, Vegeta is the only one who got a power up out of that so far. It doesn't matter how hard or easy it'd be to get power ups in universe, it matters whether there's any narrative interest in having other characters in relevant roles. Maybe Trunks will get something this time, since the entire arc is named after him, rather than the villain.

I think about Dragon Ball literally all the time these days so I decided to watch both Battle of Gods and Resurrection F again. Love both, but Battle of Gods is definitely my favorite. Just a great follow-up to the Buu saga, and there's a lot of lore-building too. Resurrection F doesn't have a lot of that in the grand scheme of things, but it's a great action movie. I think they both complement each other well. I'll probably never watch the Super versions again.

Battle of gods is so good, especially the extended version. Any rewatches I do will definitely be the movies with the original super stuff sandwiched in between

Am I the only one who doesn't mind the "No sense of Danger" everyone complains about?

It was fun having a tournament just to know who's stronger, like the good ol' days

No you're not the only one.

DragonBall shines in almost every moment where the planet is not on the line.

No and it's better for the serious arcs if it's built up to rather thna just going from one serious threat to another. Piccolo arc was amazing because the series built up to it rather than just having every arc be a single powerful threat.

I just wish the tournament had led to something bigger. It felt like it just came and went without any major build-up for the future. Yeah, we did get to see the Omniking at the end, but the tournament itself didn't directly cause anything of note. They all went back to Earth as if nothing had happened.

Waiting for the Trunks/Future Trunks fusion. #Funks

The Plot twist is that one of those Trunks comes from Hell where he was enhanced by an Evil Alien Scientist from Hell, and when they are fused together they become an eyebrowless dude who can destroy SSJ4 Goku...

Hah, can you imagine that BS?

Maybe
Black Goku comes from Universe 6's Earth being resurrected?

That's what makes Androids/Cell arc awesome in my opinion because the true threat is doing shit in the background while the current threat is tangoing with the main characters.

Trunks get easily outclassed by these stronger versions of 17 and 18 while Vegeta gets stomped by 18. Basically while this is all happening Cell is out there eating people without anyone knowing what is going on.

It progresses nicely from

  • Androids are coming, everyone thinks they're 19/Gero
  • Trunks comes back, reveals these aren't the androids he was thinking of
  • 17 and 18 get activated, shit hits the fan as Vegeta's new Super Saiyan powers mean dogshit
  • Goku's heart virus leaves everyone struggling against the two
  • Cell in the background eating people
  • Piccolo merges with Kami to deal with 17/18, realizes Cell is out there
  • Cell eventually finds 17 and absorbs him

Like that whole timeline was full of dread and constant "we cannot beat these enemies".

Then begins the Super Saiyan arms race in the RoSaT

Maybe
Black Goku comes from Universe 6's Earth being resurrected?

This is exactly my theory. Maybe even
Goku 6 being fused with Goku 7

Just because U6 Earth was revived does not mean it has any impact on the story. Also Universes don't have parallel versions of people. At least connected ones don't like 6 and 7.

I really want some genuine tension and higher stakes, so I can't agree. I've enjoyed Super quite a bit so far, but this Future Trunks arc will be a good change of pace.

I thought of that possibility, but that's not how timelines work in Dragon Ball. Earth being resurrected should not have any effect on the future timeline.

Is it the same Future Trunks as the one from Cell Saga though? Maybe he's from another alternate timeline.

Universe 6 is a mirror of Universe 7, so Goku should be evil/the cause of Earth's destruction there. The Dragon reviving said Planet revived Evil Goku too, possibly.

Hmm how do we know though? Earth was restored with all of it's history (aka, the past, which affects the future) maybe it could have caused some stuff in other timelines.

#AllOptionsOnTheTable

After a lot of thinking, the Future Trunks arc sounds ridiculously exciting from what we know. My initial thoughts were "meh" because I couldn't get over Goku Black as a character, but I think he as a character will be a little different from what we expect.

I think what interests me the most at this point is that Mai, of all the characters, is front and center in the poster. Her minor affection for kid Trunks when she was de-aged in Battle of Gods was completely removed from the Super series. This could mean that she's going to be more than a love interest. Her voice actress said that she would be appearing ever week starting at #47, and a Fuji TV producer said to "expect to see Mai play a surprisingly major role together with Future Trunks".

Then we have the same producer saying that this arc will be different from what Super has been to this point. It will be a "serious" arc like the Freeza, Cell, and Boo arcs. The Universe 6 arc was the first "real" arc of Super, but it was serious in the same way the 21st/22nd Tenkaichi Budokais were. With how the FT arc is being described as an arc with a large scope and confusing bits involving time, I can only be curious for what's to come.

Please don't be another Cell arc.

Oh, and please have a better animation schedule than what the previous arcs had.

Thanks.

hard to have a sense of danger when you have magical balls that can just resurrect everyone and dudes who can rewind time :P

kind of a non-issue

Just had a thought about how Trunks always has to experience a future where everyone dies and has to suffer like hell

What a boss
