Persona 5 Won't Be Out In North America Until February 2017

there is really not. Atlus did that survey where they asked dual audio or extra pack in goodies, and basically no one gave a shit about dual audio if it meant a sound track sampler or a steel book was on the line

Bummer. I think CD samplers are pretty lame. I'd rather pay more for the full soundtrack.

Disappointed that it's not coming out this year, but I'm still excited. Especially since it comes out a few days before my birthday.

I'll keep the steelbook pre-ordered until the SE (hopefully) comes back in stock.

:(

If this isn't out in February in Europe I doubt I'll even buy it. Happens everytime we're way behind a US release, I just forget all about it and have no interest by the time it finally gets here.

At least this will give me time to finish The Witcher 3 and probably FFXV to completion.

And a couple dozen hours into No Man's Sky too.

With the backlog I have, the February 2017 release date isn't too bad.

Never even heard of that survey, I just remember the quick Twitter survey they did in 2014 or something asking whether people want Japanese or English voices, and even that had more votes for Japanese voices.

If so, that's really frustrating. They should have realized that pack in goodies are fine but superfluous compared to actually enhancing the game itself.

Is the Best Buy preorder for the CE up yet? I have a better chance of getting it since it actually requires having the money.

More like they're still working on localization.

And even if the delay was to make way for FFXV, it is still pretty balsy of the guy to deride Atlus for trying to maximize their return on investment. People can be so entitled at times I swear.

Just took the Color Code at my job and there are a great many Blues on neogaf lol.

This will hopefully give me time to finish P4G (only about 8 hours in). Hopefully Amazon or Best Buy has this in their E3 preorder sales too!

I remember that survey: http://personacentral.com/atlus-usa-releases-an-online-survey-about-dual-audio/

As he said they never publicized any results and I can't find any unofficial talks about the results either, so I am really curious where he got the information from.

So that means Europe will play Persona 5 in June 2017. Yeah, I guess I'll be thinking about importing the US version.

Disappointing, but not particularly surprising. The limited edition looks pretty good, though, so I hope pre-orders come up for it soon.

FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! Literally one of the few games I'm excited for, but it's my fault for convincing myself it would release closer to the Japanese release date.

Well I guess it's time to go cry in the corner.

From what I remember reading around people rather have free junk.

I hope that bag is full sized. Scale is all sorts of screwed up in that image if so.

Why Atlus US insisted on 2015 release then?

Denial, didn't know how to tell the audience, or generally (and this is what I think) didn't know jack until they were told by main Atlus.

Not gonna lie I was expecting December 2016. I mean shit star ocean V came over three months later and that game ain't no where near PV.

3 months seems doable if this wasn't a Persona game that has mountains of dialogue.

Totally expected, still disappointed nonetheless.

Its funny, I was just thinking to myself yesterday P5 wouldn't come out till February and what do y'know...

I need to stop being right about stuff like this. :(

Man.

I'm so shocked that I was right about 2017.

Oh wait, nope, that's two delays I was right about.

Not much of a delay when they only give a year as a release date. I would think people would get it by now that when a video game company doesn't give a month/day/year that the date is a placeholder and is subject to change.

Good thing I can read Japanese.

Don't have to consort with foreigners and their weird dub-only policies, you truly have my admiration.
Entering stage: depression, I really need to pick up my kanji studies one day.
I'm more disappointed than I thought I would be, I steeled my heart for this but it shattered after all.
