Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 reviews and benchmarks

Just ordered a Palit GeForce GTX 1080 GameRock Premium. It is in stock in germany so should be here this week.

I hope its not that loud. :(

Where!? :O

If they ship to Spain, and the price is good, I'm getting one :)

Somethings wrong here.
Computerbase measured 44db @ load. They measured 33db. 11db is a hell of a difference...

Kitguru has always had weird (low) noise results. Most cards are like within 3db of each other, between 33-36db. You can maybe compare their results with their other results but comparing their results with other sites isn't very reliable.

GUSA's Twitter account categorically stated the 7th as the release date only to clarify at the last minute that just Newegg would be getting stock on the 7th. I and others have a G1 pre-ordered on Amazon but the status remains at "Little more time".

That being said, Amazon accepted pre-orders of the G1 at $611 versus Newegg's $649, so there may be a silver lining, especially for AU importers such as myself.

Thanks. I hope I get it before the weekend.

No worries. I'm glad you caught my edit as I only have my phone tonight and my original reply was uncharacteristically curt. Conveying tone can be difficult when time is of the essence.

Is there a link to an Amazon Search that has only 1080 cards? Apparently putting in GTX 1080 isn't enough for Amazon to only give me the new cards... Got to set up a few auto-notifys to grab one next time they show in stock for retail price.

I really hope that MSI price on newegg is for the Z edition and not X. Didn't think they were going to make a kingpin edition. Then again its evga, they have like 10 different versions of their cards.

No worries! I always feel I come off as rude too when I write quickly. :)

I've just been sitting on this page. Stuff has shown up there.

If I have an MSI Z97 Mobo and a 980, I should be fine just switching that out for a 1080, right? No power issues either since it seems to be a more efficient card?

Now I just need to work out which non-FE version is the best bet for me here in the US....
