Oh fuuuuuuck

Iron Gjallarhorn!? My favourite gun now comes in Black!?

Man, I thought I was out but they're dragging me back in. I loved that gun and built my whole playstyle around it. Heavy weapons Titan all day every day. Hopefully Ruin Wings + Gjallarhorn is still a good combo.

Gah, I'll probably give this expansion a shot, especially since there's a new raid and I love tackling raids in Destiny while people haven't optimised them down to a science. When they're new and most people are still figuring shit out, it's great.

Trailer was okay, would've liked to see some exotics but I guess that's what later today is for?
Didn't see any snipers too so I'm sort of hyped.

Trailer did nothing for me. And pre order now to get a weapon I already had is classic Bungie. See you in Destiny 2, I guess.

That was an okay trailer. Loving those totally new and not reskinned Fallen that are totally new and not reskinned nope.

The only thing that really remotely looks interesting is the new area which if it's something like the Dreadnaught I'm not really looking forward to it because of how small it actually was. At least it has location going for it.

Pre-order to get a re-skinned weapon from Destiny 1.0? Really?
lmao.gif

"Good thing this ancient evil I never mentioned throughout your previous adventures has reappeared right on our doorstep guardian, we were out of things for you to kill!"

Looks interesting but I just know it'll devolve into repetitive grinding after the initial run through.

If Gjallarhorn is returning hopefully they learned the year 2 weapons were a snoozefest and they're bringing back the crazy stuff that made things faster/more fun.

Also I couldn't see from the trailer that well but it looks like there's a raid boss that is either a metal gear or a land version of that one Zoness boss from SF64, so that's cool.

agreed. just make it damn hard to get these OP weapons so there is some sort of status to have it if you get it. I dont enjoy playing this game if everyone rocking the same shit. it also makes you want it more if friend gets the drop. dont have Xur selling these items either.

I'm just hoping they get rid of skill based matchmakings, that shit ruined the game for me, as someone who played it religiously up until about 6 months back.

I always wanted to jump into Destiny at one point. Maybe now is a good time with 50% off on Xbox One? You get a lvl25 character to boot so that's cool I guess?

Spring Update was pretty good (for being free especially).

having over 1600 hours in the game, spring update did nothing for me. I need new content, not just old shit to run around in again...

D2 needs to have less old reused stuff and more new stuff every DLC and the DLC needs to have a max gap of 3 month between them. First year I am happy if they release 3 new large DLCs but after that it needs to be more and tighter schedule between the release

Now is a perfect time. Jump on in! The Xbox population is plenty strong. 💪🏼

You'll have all summer to level up a character (or three lol) and be ready for the new stuff.

I really hope they add more trophies! I have so much doing those in Destiny.
Trailer looked pretty dope, just need to know the price and just how much of new content there is before I get too hyped.

Under a proper development cycle (rumor that D2 has been rebooted under Luke Smith) and being on PS4/X1 only (PC too if they wanted) then I can see it being a much improved game.

Looks fucking awesome so much hype. Laughing at the "reskinned Destiny 1 weapons for preorder". Everyone knows preorder things are crap, hopefully ballarhorn is decent. We just need details.....

How big is the player base right now? I'm just curious, not trying to troll or anything, because all the people I know stopped playing it even befor TTK came out.

i still see new guardians daily. theres never a problem being match made with players in crucible or stirkes/PoE. and LFG sites havent gotten any quieter.

Well, "only" 421,307 players played Trials of Osiris past weekend, so..

Still probably among the most played online next-gen games.

With every peak (Iron Banner, Trials, Reset) there is lots of old players jumping back in.

It felt smaller by January though. But yes, the last time I played the game was still matching you up with players like usual.

This? Will they show something more today? Like a real gameplay-session?

I dont think they will go very in depth. Thats probably closer to release and livestreams for that. They probably will talk abit about the story and maybe show the new hub.

This feels like a decent content patch but the problems that are plaguing Destiny and holding it back require Destiny 2. I'm very much looking forward to it and hope they really have gone back to the drawing board and are pulling out the stops and learning from their mistakes.
