Needs more Duck Game. But yeah, your predictions are awesome. I'm thinking September for Last Guardian as well, and February for Gravity Rush 2 sounds perfect (since the fall is gross with how many games are already coming, get that free and clear of that!)
Thank you. I think TLG in early September is a good bet. Stays away from all the heavy hitters from FFXV to COD/BF/Gears/WD2, etc. and is a month after No Man's Sky. Gravity Rush 2 in February makes sense as it's away from the games I just mentioned, gets released in what's usually a slow month and comes out a year after the re-master. Don't know how GRR did but GR2 will have to sell very well for there to be a GR3 in my opinion. Persona 5 won't affect GR2 since they're both very different games and once 2017 starts, I actually see Horizon being delayed a few weeks to March just to get it away from GR2 and Persona 5.
Thanks for reminding me of this. I had a great time with the demo and given that it's exclusive to PS4 and supposedly releasing this year, I'd be really shocked if we didn't see just a tad more, even if it was just a new gameplay trailer with a release date.
You're welcome. I'm expecting at least a few minutes of Ni-Oh at Sony's press conference. My list is long but majority will be a short few minutes meant to be updates and reminders.
Sounds realistic. And, for me, pretty boring. There's maybe two games on that list I'm passionately interested in, and both I've already seen plenty of and just want to play.
Hype defused for now. Probably for the best.
I know a lot of people are expecting Dreams 2.0 but to be perfectly honest, Sony doesn't need it right now and I don't want to see 2018 games and beyond. I want to see the games for 2016 and 2017. I'm interested in 10-12 of the games that I listed and even those im not interested in playing, im still interested in seeing them and how they do when they get released. Sorry that it's boring for you.
This seems to be way too many Japanese games to feel realistic.
True but if they want Japanese games to sell better, Sony needs to you know, show them off. I'm not interested in the majority of them but I still think that they should show them off more than they currently do. I'm expecting a few short minutes of each game just to remind everyone and give those who are already interested an update on where each game stands.
Your show would be like four hours long.
Can't speak for anyone else but I would love this!!! Four hours??? Screw it, let's make it five baby!!! LOL.
Not much to get excited about there, it's basically 2015 all over again with a couple of new mixed in.
Although I do hope we get a worldwide Vita price drop. I could do with buying a second unit as back up/to take to work with me.
That's the problem with showing games early. They will obviously be repeated the following year if they're not released in between each E3. This is why I don't want to see games for 2018 or games that aren't ready yet to be shown. Out of Dreams 2.0, the only game im slightly interested in is Shenmue III and I can easily see that taking another two years. I want to see what im getting sooner rather than later. A Vita price drop should have happened already. Sony should just start clearing them out by now.
I also expect something like this.
Lots of updates, tons of great games, a few new big titles announced.
But I can't think of surprises bigger than FFVIIR and Shenmue 3 being announced and TLG resurfacing after years of silence all in the same conference.
Even if Crash happened (and it won't especially if the rumors about Knack 2 are true) and RDR2 happened, it wouldn't be anywhere close to the surprise level of last year. Certain things can only happen once in a lifetime and that's why they're special.
Exactly. The "big" wishes I keep seeing are Red Dead 3 which could happen but not at either press conference. Take Two/Rockstar don't need to kiss either publisher's ass. Personally, if Red Dead 3 isn't on their release schedule by May 2017, I would wait until next year's E3 to show it and pull a Fallout 4. Rockstar Games don't need years of videos, trailers, etc. They can show it off at E3 next year and then a gameplay video a month or so before release. It's one of those games from one of those publishers that once you see it, you're not forgetting it.
Isn't Crash Bandicoot IP still owned by Activision? If so, my guess is that the only reason it appeared in Uncharted 4 is so their copyrights don't expire from non-use. And if Knack 2 is true which it appears to be, no point in having Crash anyway. Better off saving it for a future year if it ever happens.
Agent is as dead as Eight Days.
I hope this year Sony has enough sense to not do a Destiny bundle for DLC and have a FFXV bundle instead. Missing out a MGS5 bundle for the U.S. was an oversight.
I think that Sony will do a FFXV console bundle for sure. The Destiny/COD bundles are my guesses due to the contract that Sony has with Activision. Both received bundles last year so if the same thing happens again this year, im expecting this to be a yearly thing.
