So, Geoff posted the schedule for youtube's streaming on monday, a lot of nice tidbits there:

Mass Effect Ascension?

Of course they did lol

Why wouldn't it be announced at the press conference if it was exclusive?

I'm guessing something like Age of Empires gets announced at Geoff's thing. Saves some time from the actually conference. And maybe the next KI character or trailer

Maybe the streaming stick also. If it exists, that doesn't seem like a conference announcement

I was a debbie downer on the last page but I'm still excited for E3 regardless. Here is my updated list of what to expect this E3:

Trailers for previously known games:

*Sea of Thieves
*Recore
*Scalebound
*Crackdown 3
*Halo Wars 2
*Gears of War 4

New rumoured but very likely unannounced games:

*Forza Horizon 3, set in Australia
*Dead Rising 4, re-imagining of DR1 with an expanded town, set in Christmas time, with snow and co-op
*Age of Empires sequel
*State of Decay 2
*New Rare IP (Rare rumoured to become a new IP factory)
*Battletoads

Rumoured hardware:

*Xbox One Slim
*Xbox Streaming Device/Stick
*Xbox VR and Xbox Scorpio is rumoured to exist but also heavily rumoured to skip E3...

Possible third-party multiplat trailers:

*Battlefield 1
*Titanfall 2
*Dishonoured 2

Other miscellaneous stuff:

*Indie game showcase
*Hopefully they show off a lot of good previously unknown indies
*And hopefully they give us release dates for existing indies like Cuphead, Inside, Tacoma, The Turing Test, etc...
*Other announcements? Hopefully here are some huge surprises.

You can probably take Titanfall 2 off this list for 3rd party trailers. Looks like Sony has the marketing rights, so it'll probably be on their stage.

Two games getting announced on Geoff's stream? That's a strange one, probably AoE is one of them but I can't think what the other would be.

To be fair it just says "xbox title announcements".. not new. Could be SO for PC or something.

The greenberg one doesn't say game. Could be the stick or something else.

Wat? Age of Empires is huge. It won't get left to a stream announcement.

With Neo now confirmed and not being at E3, I think that means there's a very good chance of no Scorpio stuff mentioned at E3 at all.

I disagree.

If Phil Spencer had already planned to talk about Scorpio at E3 before Sony confirmed the existence of Neo, then we'll hear something for sure, even if that means just confirming that Scorpio is happening.

They've already planned and rehearsed their entire show, their plans won't change 3 days before it's showtime.

Exactly.

It's not huge when compared to MS other first party offerings

On the pecking order of things that need to be shown, AoE is right next to the possibility of battletoads of the least important things

what?

AoE is bigger than most of MS franchises. AoE2 HD sold more than 3 million copies on Steam.

I mean, i can only think of Halo/Gears that actually outsell it on short AND long term. So, no, you're wrong.

Yeah, I missed the rumored new Rare IP. Where did that come from?

I am beyond stoked for Sea of Thieves. A Rare pirate game?!
Shinobi said that Rare will be kinda a new IP factory and are already working on a new game besides Sea of thieves.

Also there is the rumor of a new Battletoads.

Did anybody see this tweet about Banjo Kazooie by Phil Spencer from a few days ago?

https://twitter.com/XboxP3/status/735181777178742785?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

Hmmm. Remember that broken banjo tweet Robin Beanland made a couple years ago? What if Rare has been secretly working on a new Banjo game alongside Sea of Thieves this whole time?......

Like I said about Rare needing to make smaller games, I think Microsoft Game Studios as a whole has to do that, as well. The big tentpole releases are always a big hit, but they need some smaller games for the gaps. But I think Xbox is in good shape, just... in transition.

Rare doesn't need to make smaller games. I'd like to see them be a AAA studio for Microsoft. If you meant that they should make bigger games in addition to smaller games, sure. But only smaller games? No way.

I also don't really want a new Banjo to be a smaller game. People have been waiting for a proper Banjo Threeie for almost two decades. I think a new Banjo game deserves to be a big retail title.

I could've sworn I saw that rumour in Nirolak's thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1228692. But it's nowhere to be found there.

Gah! I remember reading that rumour but I can't find its source right now.

Pretty sure that rumor was posted earlier in this thread. That's probably where you saw it initially. :p

Yea, my bets are on Sunset Overdrive port to W10 in this Geoff thing, can't see they announcing something big in a streaming, unless their conference is really stacked..

Oh well, we shall see soon :P.

I don't know if Rare is still split up into four or five teams still, or have consolidated into two teams or one team over the years... but I guess I mean that they should make big games and small games, yeah. I think if it's scale and budget that's holding back a new Banjo, rather than Rare not wanting to, then they should pitch a N64-sized game with HD graphics. Make a Banjo-Kazooie sequel that looks like the XBLA versions, or like current indie games. I think that with Rare Replay (or I hope it's the case, at least), it shows that these older games still have a lot of life in them, and making games that look like those today wouldn't so bad a thing to do.

But with the same token, I'd love for big budget Rare games to exist as well, definitely! I just wonder where Microsoft and Rare are at in terms of their interest level for bringing back classic Rare properties.

4 studios they mentioned in a recent video.
4 different barns I think they said, with the Sea Of Thieves one having cannons on it's walls shooting at the Rare Replay team's barn.

Well actually, thinking about it now, I wouldn't be totally against the idea of an N64-sized Banjo Threeie with HD graphics. It would be cool if we did get a new Banjo game that is about the same size as the first game (or maybe even the second game).

But at the same time, I've always wanted to see a big AAA retail Banjo Threeie. I understand that making it be a smaller game with a smaller budget would be less risky since you never know if the game will actually sell all that well or not, but the Banjo fan in me wants to see a bigger AAA game. I think it could potentially work if it's in the right hands and if it's marketed properly.

I agree. I think if anything we'll see a shift in MS AT E3 as it won't only be about consoles. New direction

Woah, just watched that Surface presentation by Panos Panay, I'm in awe and am jealous of someone who can articulate his thoughts that well. I enjoy listening to powerful speakers.

Is it known if Panos is actually working on xbox?

The Hardware division is creating it under his command, how much input he's made is unknown, but he definitely would have had some say

I'll just say that as soon as I saw the Scorpio leaks, my first thought was that Panos was involved, raw specs in unconventional forms is his forte

Not sure how he could introduce the slim like he could the Surface pro 4. I mean its going to be a box that sits near a tv.

He could make the Scorpio look amazing next to a PS4 Neo I bet. But it wouldnt be like the surface introduction.
