Ah, looks like it came from Shinobi: http://www.examiner.com/article/ins...-xbox-e3-presser-rare-working-on-brand-new-ip
So, Geoff posted the schedule for youtube's streaming on monday, a lot of nice tidbits there:

Mass Effect Ascension?
Of course they did lol
Why wouldn't it be announced at the press conference if it was exclusive?
I was a debbie downer on the last page but I'm still excited for E3 regardless. Here is my updated list of what to expect this E3:
Trailers for previously known games:
*Sea of Thieves
*Recore
*Scalebound
*Crackdown 3
*Halo Wars 2
*Gears of War 4
New rumoured but very likely unannounced games:
*Forza Horizon 3, set in Australia
*Dead Rising 4, re-imagining of DR1 with an expanded town, set in Christmas time, with snow and co-op
*Age of Empires sequel
*State of Decay 2
*New Rare IP (Rare rumoured to become a new IP factory)
*Battletoads
Rumoured hardware:
*Xbox One Slim
*Xbox Streaming Device/Stick
*Xbox VR and Xbox Scorpio is rumoured to exist but also heavily rumoured to skip E3...
Possible third-party multiplat trailers:
*Battlefield 1
*Titanfall 2
*Dishonoured 2
Other miscellaneous stuff:
*Indie game showcase
*Hopefully they show off a lot of good previously unknown indies
*And hopefully they give us release dates for existing indies like Cuphead, Inside, Tacoma, The Turing Test, etc...
*Other announcements? Hopefully here are some huge surprises.
Oh wow! Awesome! Thanks for the linkAh, looks like it came from Shinobi: http://www.examiner.com/article/ins...-xbox-e3-presser-rare-working-on-brand-new-ip
Two games getting announced on Geoff's stream? That's a strange one, probably AoE is one of them but I can't think what the other would be.
I'm guessing something like Age of Empires gets announced at Geoff's thing. Saves some time from the actually conference. And maybe the next KIncharacter or trailer
Maybe the streaming stick also. If it exists, that doesn't seem like a conference announcement
Rare's new IP should be the opposite of Sea of Thieves, Land of Police or something.
With Neo now confirmed and not being at E3, I think that means there's a very good chance of no Scorpio stuff mentioned at E3 at all.
They've already planned and rehearsed their entire show, their plans won't change 3 days before it's showtime.
It's not huge when compared to MS other first party offeringsWat? Age of Empires is huge. It won't get left to a stream announcement.
You need Panos face over the dude in the pic.

On the pecking order of things that need to be shown, AoE is right next to the possibility of battletoads of the least important things

Shinobi said that Rare will be kinda a new IP factory and are already working on a new game besides Sea of thieves.Yeah, I missed the rumored new Rare IP. Where did that come from?
I am beyond stoked for Sea of Thieves. A Rare pirate game?!
Did anybody see this tweet about Banjo Kazooie by Phil Spencer from a few days ago?

Like I said about Rare needing to make smaller games, I think Microsoft Game Studios as a whole has to do that, as well. The big tentpole releases are always a big hit, but they need some smaller games for the gaps. But I think Xbox is in good shape, just... in transition.
I could've sworn I saw that rumour in Nirolak's thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1228692. But it's nowhere to be found there.
Gah! I remember reading that rumour but I can't find its source right now.
Rare doesn't need to make smaller games. I'd like to see them be a AAA studio for Microsoft. If you meant that they should make bigger games in addition to smaller games, sure. But only smaller games? No way.
I also don't really want a new Banjo to be a smaller game. People have been waiting for a proper Banjo Threeie for almost two decades. I think a new Banjo game deserves to be a big retail title.
I really hope he is there if Scorpio is discussed.
I don't know if Rare is still split up into four or five teams still, or have consolidated into two teams or one team over the years... but I guess I mean that they should make big games and small games, yeah. I think if it's scale and budget that's holding back a new Banjo, rather than Rare not wanting to, then they should pitch a N64-sized game with HD graphics. Make a Banjo-Kazooie sequel that looks like the XBLA versions, or like current indie games. I think that with Rare Replay (or I hope it's the case, at least), it shows that these older games still have a lot of life in them, and making games that look like those today wouldn't so bad a thing to do.
But with the same token, I'd love for big budget Rare games to exist as well, definitely! I just wonder where Microsoft and Rare are at in terms of their interest level for bringing back classic Rare properties.

Have you heard him at keynotes? Dude legit has you wanting to fuck your electronics.
Lol, I know.
His Surface Book presentation was on point.
what?
AoE is bigger than most of MS franchises. AoE2 HD sold more than 3 million copies on Steam.
I mean, i can only think of Halo/Gears that actually outsell it on short AND long term. So, no, you're wrong.
Don't forget Bryan Roper AKA "Microsoft Fedora Guy"

He was really cool and entertaining at Build
He's awesome indeed.
He used to an entertainer on cruise ships I believe.
Wasn't that a joke here on GAF?
What do you mean?
He actually was.
It's known that the division that he oversees is. And I'd bet his vision and design feedback has been integral to whatever they're making hardware wise.Is it known if Panos is actually working on xbox?
Is it known if Panos is actually working on xbox?
What?I have about 30 games on PS4 and 6 on Xbox One, I'll sell everything and get the Slim if Panos was involved.
I'm definitely interested in the design of a console from someone who would put heat pipes in a phone.
One day we'll get one of those bullshit concept consoles that are spherical and made completely of transparent glass with touchscreens
I'll buy 2
