Also, what about JRPGs such as Nier: Automata and World of Final Fantasy?

Those have been explicitly listed as PS4 exclusives, but also aren't published by Sony.
I dunno man...I'm confused as well. Some are on PS4/PC but some are just PS4/PSV like World of Final Fantasy. The list I quoted doesn't seem like he was talking about exclusives either, he did a separate posts for stuff that's only on PS like level 5 and hinted at 2 new SEGA titles.

nier automata and world of final fantasy aren't the jrpg1-5 in the list

Oh.

Now I'm also confused, lol

We need Verendus in here to clarify some shit.

I wonder if we'll see a new The Order. It needs a sequel.

I just played 1886 a couple weeks back, and actually really enjoyed it, but the game seems to get a lot of hate. Not sure how it did in terms of sales, but I think reviews were pretty mediocre. I definitely don't think we'll see it at E3 as Ready at Dawn just unveiled a new game De-Formers, but I'd like to see a sequel at some point.

the list is not only about exclusives, but he says

"I'll start you off. JRPG1 and JRPG2, which I've talked about several times, don't need any elaboration. You'll know both soon enough. JRPG3 is in pre-production at the moment, and is something that should appeal to fans. This will be announced in 2016, at the earliest, I would assume. They've only just started picking things up this year. JRPG4 is much further away. This will be a more significant title, but you're not hearing about this anytime soon. This is towards the end of the generation. JRPG5 is similar to a title that you already know about. Also, a late generation title.

That's your Sony exclusive JRPGs which SCEJ/A is going to be involved in some shape or form over the next five years."

he says that the jrpg #1 to #5 sony is involved in a way. The rest of the list can be multiplat or not.

Crazy we haven't seen Verendus lately. But he's given us enough teases honestly.
Verendus still lurks just doesn't posts as much. He PM'ed me a few months back.

Before he took a hiatus he actually said he has given us a lot of stuff for probably a big chunk of the gen. So I'm guessing stuff all the way till 2018 he's hinted at already. New Virtua Fighter for me is crazy., I really really hope that pans out

if you Guys are curious about the Ps4 exclusives that Verendus talked about, than these are some of the games we should expect according to him:

- Exclusive Game by Warner Bros (from 2013) (probably the Superman Game)
- 2 Exclusive Games by Sega (Not Yakuza)
- another Exclusive from Level 5
- 2 other Exclusives from FromSoftware
- a new Brawler Game
- a Dragon Quest Remake/HD (probably 5)
- Japanese new IP which is set in...Japan. Third person action adventure title with monsters and machines
- exclusive Games by western Third Party Studios with the codenames Lockstarter and Lazyeye (from 2013)
- the Big Budget JRPG Game from Sony Japan
- new Sly Cooper

About the Sega Games he said this last year

i think the second is Virtua Fighter which he also teaser
Virtua Fighter?? Could it be?

I see what you're saying; furthermore, Ni No Kuni 2 probably isn't one of those 5 JRPG's, since Sony's not involved.

That would explain the whole "Console Debut" scenario surrounding it.

Thanks for the info, I was getting confused for a moment there.

Projects are canned/rebooted all the time.
Even if Verendus's source is reliable (which is a big question mark for me), it doesn't mean the projects he knew are still there. We've seen so many games canned in the middle of the development, and now with the increasing cost of marketing, publishers are more willing to cancel projects that they believe are not profitable enough (just look SE, they never hesitate to cancel or reboot a project). I'd say stop taking that list too seriously.

nah Verendus is legit in my book and this is fun...we know projects get changed. Still fun to speculate and see what matches up and dots we can connect.

NNM - timed console exclusive or going to PC?
FF7:R - timed console exclusive or going to PC
Nier - fully exclusive?

Also I'd say that onimusha Souls game fits in a list no?

For Ni No Kuni 2, I'm actually expecting a port for whatever platform(s) NX turns out to be, not PC.

L5 and Nintendo have a solid relationship.

Nier might get ported somewhere else in the future.

JRPGs being console "debuts" means that many devs/pubs are waiting to see how NX does in Japan. Doubt everything thats a console debut will end up on NX though.

Some might just stay console exclusive.

Sony really needs to close on a good gameplay demo like they did with Uncharted 4 at last year's E3. The E3 2014 teaser was nice, but it was really short and wasn't exactly a "surprise."

Please don't end with a CGI trailer for GOW4.

If they end in GOW 4 I think it'll be gameplay.

I believe that Sony's only done one CG trailer debut this gen, and that was for Bloodborne. And we later learned that they showed the CG trailer because the framerate wasn't stable at the time. The whole KZ2 situation has made them very hesitant about showing anything other than the actual games this gen.

If they end in GOW 4 I think it'll be gameplay.

I'm hesitant to believe this, God of War is a big game for Sony. They'll probably show an "in-engine" teaser and then follow-up with gameplay next year, so they can split it over two seperate E3s like they did with Uncharted.

So if they want to end with gameplay, it'll probably be with Horizon or Dead Don't Ride.

Give me a Horizon reveal for GoW4.

In engine stuff into gameplay so people can lose it. Well, they'll be losing it over the "is this NEO?!" stuff too but yeah. :P

Horizon was such a great reveal. Should be the standard for reveals.

That reveal was god-tier. I honestly expected the trailer to end when they showed the robo-Brachio's. But nope, they went ahead and did this...

I think Dead Don't Ride will get this style of reveal, and GOW gets an in-engine trailer.
