I'm not talking about the twitter. Spiderman leaked before that anyway. What I'm saying is I expect everything to leak the day before the conference. TLG, Shenmue and FFVII leaked before the conference, so nothing is safe lol

If it is the stuff we've been talking about here (Crash, Agent, etc...), no one is going to believe it. It won't even matter if it leaks. It'll be the same thing as last year.

Because otherwise there really aren't any rumors about Sony's show. We know CoD is going to be there and Detroit due to some QD tweets, but that's about it. There are some games that people think will be there like GoW4 or Bend's game, but no confirmation. There aren't any major sites vouching for certain games making an appearance like last year. So it allows people to take advantage of that silence.
After last year I'm more inclined to believe in most of the rumors, except for stuff like "exclusive Rockstar game".
With all the rumblings about Spiderman, Resident Evil, Read Dead, DMC5 etc I think we can already piece together the conference. And that's fine, the actual reveals matter more to me anyway.
Seriously. First was hyped for Spiderman by Sucker Punch, that deflated a bit but still it was Insomniac handling it, so it could be good. Then news about the potentially cartoony artstyle, bringing my hype down further, as I prefer the semi-realistic looking spiderman games more. But still, I was like, Insomniac's great they'll make a terrific game and help me get over that, plus Ratchet & Clank is cartoony visuals and looks absolutely gorgeous. Doesn't have to be cel-shading or something like that. And now talks of it being a VR title/experience...
Sigh...
Hopes of a full fledged spiderman handled like a first party game are pretty much gone now for me.

You could be right, but I'd hope for Sony to partner with either Konami for Yu-Gi-Oh! or whoever makes Magic The Gathering. A property with a large existing fanbase and card selection would make for an easier sell.
Nah there's been Spiderman VR talk before that guy tweeted. I'm not taking anything that guy says seriously. I had kinda pushed aside the possibility when it was Sucker Punch supposedly developing, but after insomniac got pretty much confirmed that changed things.

That is true. Magic seems to be with Xbox this gen, so that seems very unlikely and Yugioh... well is with Konami.
For the japanese market Sony could team up with Bandai to get a Kamen Rider Ganbaride VR game, which might get me interested in this whole VR thing.

Sammy B from Push Square was the first one I saw especulating if the Spidey game would be VR, and was just a guess
Giving it more thought, the cards would have to be specially 'AR' made anyway right? So whatever property it was based on would require new cards regardless. In which case, Eye Of Judgment might be the best option because there are already 'AR' cards for the property.

Sony definitely brought up Eye of Judgement VR at one point lol, just makes too much sense. Who knows, maybe they'll really do it. Wouldn't surprise me.

Would've died for a SuckerPunch Spidey game... don't know much about Insomniac games (R&C and Sunset Overdrive I guess) but that and the highly stylized cartoon look kind of killed my hype.
If it's VR... I don't even... how can you even properly translate Spidey gameplay to VR (room scale)? When I think of Spidey gameplay I imagine top speed skydives, acrobatic over the top movement and split-second decisions. That only works with loads of 3rd person hand-holding gameplay imho.
I'll stay open-minded about this whole thing tho, maybe they blow me out of the water. I just hope no VR and amazing open world traversal mechanics... that'll lower the pain caused by cartoony looks.

Why they already made a VR game Edge of Nowhere, they are experienced in VR and this game could be awesome with it. People need to stop hating on VR. Heck PSVR is getting more support than Vita at this point.
Oh gotcha. the hype was friggin real in 2014 for both E3 and PSX
and after that FF7 troll I stopped getting that hype for these events lol.

Sorry for the dumb question, but you can play VR games without a VR headset right? I may still be interested in this (and other VR games) but won't be able to afford vr anytime soon. I assume it'd be like a 2DS just games without the "3D" but I'm not sure.

No, you can't. Unless it wasn't developed for VR only.
Nope, it doesn't work that way. VR is a control scheme as well as a display tech, doesn't work without both.
