Pokémon Sun & Moon | Info and speculation thread

Me after listening to that battle theme:

oh wow it changes in battle

wonder causes the form shift

and the battle theme is pretty cool as well

Don't forget that it started out as a snake and then turns into a dog and then some golem-thing.

no your wrong

it starts as the Core

then it merges with Cells in order to get to it's other forms

once it has %10 of all the Cells is becomes the dog

and once it has %50 is becomes the snake (note one Core can only get to %50)

and once two core have all %100 of the Cells in turns into this

or at least that's how it works in the anime dont know how it works in the game but i do see the cells moving into it when it's transforming

So uh...how does this whole Zygarde thing work mechanically? Does Zygarde automatically turn into Zygundam at low health? Can only the 10% version do the transformation (seems kinda weird to go from 10% directly to 100%)? What about the 50% version and Squishy?

Questions aside, nice to finally see the Zygarde forms in a mainline title. That Z Laser move looks dope.

I still don't know what the Zygarde push is for at this point.

The movie is out in July that features the forms, so maybe it's that?

It looks like they intend on giving us a weak slime Zygarde as a digital download gift? That way we don't have a overpowered legendary at the beginning of the game and can grow and raise it from the beginning to the end?

Wonder if they're saving Synchro to E3 presentation.

Although, from what I remember on 2013, the Mega Evolution concept wasn't revealed until two months prior to XY's release, and Sun/Moon still have five months ahead...

The part that's more interesting is that both Pokemon forms seem to have different base HP. That didn't happen before with battle exclusive forms like Darmanitan, Meloetta, and megas.

Oh man, the two new Zygarde forms look awesome in battle!

I wonder how they work, though. If the dog form is 10%, and the snake original is 50%, and the mech is 100%, how does it jump straight from 10% to 100% like that?

not really huge on this wild battle theme, the flow of the song is pretty awkward. at the very least it's weird, which has me optimistic that the soundtrack as a whole will be more interesting than XY's.

free my man ichinose

To be honest, I have a feeling it is Ichinose's arrangement. Kageyama is gone and Masuda hasn't arranged that much since Gen IV. The others don't usually touch the main battle themes, only certain ones like legendaries and evil teams. Pocket Card Jockey came out in Japan 3 years ago so unless GF is working on another game, I doubt that Ichinose is has anything else to work on.

That's a weird/ugly looking pokemon. Starts out
as a doberman with a scarf then turns into that big ugly thing.

You regular at the Community thread how do you not already know about these guys????

Was made yesterday. I'm pretty sure they were talked about here as well,

That's the worst battle music the series has ever had!
Like, by a sizable margin! bleeegh. I can deal with it if that's the Wild Pokemon theme. That'd suck for trainer battles though

That's how you know it's real
Yeah I'm not feeling either. And it's going to be playing. All. The. Time.

It almost feels like there's supposed to be a little bit of every Pokemon game in that theme. It's so busy though. Who knows, it might grow on me.

I absolutely hated this wild battle theme from X/Y when I first heard it. I think it's my favorite now, lmao. That's one thing I really appreciated about X/Y; say what you will about its soundtrack but it's pretty intelligently restrained, compared to how Gen V's soundtrack, each song sounded like three songs layered on top of one another. Guess we're back to that now. As long as it means themes like this and like this, it's cool

every legendary gets a push, zygarde was the kyurem of XY with unresolved points. of course its going to get a push. huge one. its probably actually a part of the Sun/Moon story in at least some ways. they cant just explain it in the anime only

I suggest checking out Yokai Watch 2's battle theme, it's absurdly good.

One cool detail is that the very beginning of the song loops during the beginning of the battle when your prepping until you start the fight.
