I wish we had a large gaming event in the Hampton Roads area(Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Chesapeake) even though we have a huge military and gaming community. Feels like we get passed up a lot for the DC area and I just can't afford to go to LA. D:

They'll just have to deal with it... this is the World Cup/Super Bowl of gaming events.

:D

Seriously. Ive already let my wife know in advance lmao.

"Hey babe. So um monday is.. Um... This gaming show thing called e3 so im gonna watch the tv almost all day... Yeah i know its my work at home day. Ill just have my laptop with me on the couch. K?"

She rolls her eyes and laughs.
Hah! That mean "okay" in wife language terms!!! Im goldennnnnn lololololololololol

It's strange that there needs to be some kind of embarrassment to the idea of someone watching a gaming event. Never mind it's a multi-billion dollar industry but I guess some people really don't understand how people can get involved in a hobby like gaming in the same way another person can get involved into sports like soccer and football.

And you felt a little bit ashamed but didn't care, don't you?

While I don't have work at home days, my wife knows all too well that there are certain game-related things I'll geek out on. Whether it's E3 or a Nintendo Direct, she thankfully understands!

It's should be more understandable than watching the Academy Awards tbh

Unfortunetly everyone i know thinks gaming is for kids.. So for me and my situation its a bit like that. My personality is to avoid conflict as such. Lol i mean they laugh at me when i go watch a movie by myself...

I just feel bad that my daughter will want to watch something but here i am, watching a trailer for the next gears of war 4 :p

Right, mine understands to a point. Latinas are feisty.

Just do what I would do and stack some boxes around the TV if she gives you any more trouble...

Been busy lately, but made sure my schedule is clear for all of the E3 conferences. First time visiting the thread; great work on the OP!

So ready to do this! Hyped for way too many games this year.

I appreciate it, I've been trying my hardest to keep the hype up.

I might have to cross a few lines here and there but a train conductor has to do what he has got to do.

At the end of the day, though, we've been manipulated to view watching commercials for what we like as though it is part of doing what we like. I mean, I'm going to watch, but it is absurd.

I love sports, but I mostly ignore the PR put out by the ownership of teams. I like movies, but I mostly ignore the PR put out by the industry.

One of the saddest aspects of nerd culture, from gaming to tv and film, is the propensity we have to obsess over watching pure PR in the firm of trailers and conventions.

What's everyone most hyped game they wanna see? FH3 for me with Sea of Thieves a close second

Well it was to see how Halo Wars 2 looked(until the screenshot leak) but now it's Forza Horizon 3.

I'm also hyped for the amount of people to pronounce Forza wrong again for another year.

Scalebound far and away
And rumored Battletoads if you insiders arent cruel bastards

Cool software announcements outside of game titles seems to be the wild card as well
