Why not even mention PS4 in this screen? WTF kind of marketing is that?

Nothing wrong with marketing exclusivity.

If MS is willing to throw money at Square-Enix for these kind of ads, that's not SE's fault.

Not saying I think it is a good strategy, but there's nothing wrong with it in principle.

It would be so strange if MS had marketing for FFXV. One of the few games where your essentially marketing for the competition.

Ever since FFXV stopped any major appearance at a Sony stage at a non-Asian level, it was somewhat expected that it is not tied to any singular platform marketing like BF1 or Battlefront.

Sony Japan will definitely be comarketing FFXV, but that's effectively free money and single region comarketing.

Sony's using that FF budget on FF7R instead.

They should be using it on Ni no Kuni II and Gravity Rush.

The fact that people even give a shit about marketing deals when they usually just amount to some bad times DLC is depressing. Publisher gets paid marketing. Good for them.

What do you think are the chances of seeing a WipEout HD remaster for PSVR at the presser?

Just recently played Zone Mode again and by god, it would be amazing in VR.

Just because games are exclusive, doesn't mean they get the co-advertising budget they deserve.

Gravity Rush can never get co-marketing, it's made by Sony. =P

I get what you're saying for Ni no Kuni II though. But if a game is exclusive and Sony has no involvement, I don't really see what their incentive could be to pay for marketing.

Never hurts to have a bit more media attention over an interesting game.

A well known name or title can turn heads towards a platform even if the platform holder is not involved in funding the game.

Doesn't mean there isn't an opportunity for a marketing deal, just based on who is the publisher.

Just rewatched FFVIIR's E3 and PSX trailers, really really hope it shows up at E3. I know Nomura said he was waiting for 2.8 and World of FF to release before giving more information but that was only in response to a question about the release date being tied to the 20th anniversary in January 2017, not information about the game in general. I think it will show up.

Okay, since we're two days away I'm going to make my prediction for Sony's conference:

- The conference opens with a sizzle reel set to an upbeat song. It shows off PS4 games released this year, a well as some of the games announced throughout 2015 that have yet to be released.

- "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Shawn Layden!" Shawn Layden walks on stage. He's not wearing a shirt that would tease an upcoming game - perhaps he may not even be wearing a shirt at all. Shawn Layden says "It's been a great year for PlayStation. We shipped Uncharted 4 and Ratchet & Clank to critical and commercial acclaim. We also shipped Hardware Rivals. Remember Hardware Rivals?" Shawn mentions sales numbers, network stats, etc. Anyhow, on with the show!

- Sony Bend rep comes on stage. (Dead Don't Ride gameplay demo.)

- Herman Hulst comes on stage. (Horizon: Zero Dawn demo.)

- Shuhei Yoshida takes the stage. "Last year I had the honour of reannouncing one gaming's most anticipated releases. Today were here to give you an extended look at The Last Guardian!" (The Last Guardian Demo)

- "But that's not all Japan Studio has been working on," says Shu, "we have one more surprise from Mark Cerny!' (Knack 2 trailer)

- Shawn Layden comes back on stage. He's wearing a Legend of Dragoon t-shirt. But he's here to announce Crash Bandicoot! Sony will also be bringing the original trilogy to PS4 as updated PSOne Classics. (Crash Bandicoot trailer) Shawn also mentions that Crash will be available as in the new Skylanders as a PS4 exclusive. This let's us segue into...

- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare demo

- Destiny Rise of Iron demo

- Ubisoft rep comes on stage. Exclusive content for Watch_Dogs 2. (I'd also guess that if Ubi shows off a new game during their conference it might appear on stage again here in some capacity).

- Stage presence given to either one 2K title or EA title.

- Gio Corsi comes out on stage. It's indie time!

- Trailer for Insomniac's Spider-man game.

- Andrew House comes on stage. Talks about Sony's great partnership with Marvel/Disney. Then there's some talk about VR, complete with a sizzle reel.

- Shawn Layden comes back on stage. He says they have one last thing to show. (God of War IV demo)

Dude, you just spoiled the whole conference, lol.

This is exactly my prediction too expect Spider Man game. I don't think they will reveal it now or at least it's not from Insomniac.

...

This is exactly what I've had in mind the last few days, simply because of how predictable it is.

Realistic, but so fucking predictable, especially that annual yawn-inducing indie section.

I'll be skipping the conference this year and just be going straight to the aftermath threads on GAF.

Gio Corsi comes out during Playstation Experience conferences usually.

That is a realistic prediction but it would also kind of suck to be honest.

My bad, I thought his role became more WW rather then NA focused.

There's effectively no change in day-to-day for Playstation at a leadership level. Difference is that they're no longer HQ-ed in Japan, and there are some global role changes, but Playstation still operates at a regional level.

His new global role is being Chairman of WWS.

I hope there's at least two more megatons at the conference in addition to this. Your list would make it a solid conference, but a far cry from Year of Dreams 2.0. :P
