I like how they covered the xbox logo/ power button with the controller in the second photo since it won't be correctly oriented lol

If it's a 4KBR player I am in at $450 or below. Current entries are $399, might as well get a console while you're at it. Same thing that sold OG PS3s.

I disagree.

Even shit internal battery are better than other option.

But how do you argue that?! I can swap batteries in less than a minute and continue playing wireless. How do you do that with an internal battery? I mean, ok, you can have the opinion that it's better but why and how do you argue for that when there are very good rechargable batteries available?

A 2tb HD and 4K blu Ray player means this will be $399 minimum. I don't see this being cheap.

But since I recently got a 4K tv, I might as well get this since it would play games too as a bonus. Not to mention I hate the current design of the one. Way too big.

Just give me a date Microsoft!

It needs to compete with a PS4 and also be a good value for current owners to upgrade.

450 no. It'll replace the One at retail. Unless console makers are actually so stupid they think every aspect of the phone upgrade path applies to consoles (despite even just this last gen showing that's not how you do it).

Because they cost a premium? But, you can also put them in your remote control, electric tooth brush, torch etc.
Because I don't like then since digital cameras... it is worst and you need to recharge them with 3rd accessories and all.

Internal battery are like phone... the best world where you can plug in any USB and be happy (I can recharge in my PC, note, television, etc) like a phone... I can even use the same cable for a lot of devices.

The needed of to remove the recharged battery plus put in a 3rd accessory is already a mess by itself.

i'm going to say....$399. I imagine the guts of the machine will be a good chunk cheaper than vanilla, but that drive (if confirmed) will obviously had a fair price attached...Any less than $399 and MS will do pretty well with it...Enough claw back against PS4? No, but certainly in the US i imagine it will go toe to toe a lot more unless PS4 gets a price reduction later tonight... As a machine i applaud MS, it's a terrific little thing.

"I don't like" is not very reasonable but hey, what to argue about opinions.

Do you know if you can swap the HDD this time? Not that I prefer having an additional disk laying around but it seems "big" for some people here.

I don't know this but someone once mentioned to me it has a disk tray thingy. But I doubt it at this point.

I mean, there is also going to be the Xbox Scorpio in all likelihood, so maybe wait a bit?

But I really like the new design visually and I pretty much hated the old one.

Indeed the old one is... an ugly brick and you have a good point. Before making my decision I will see what Microsoft has for us. Might justify or not having a Xbox console at all.

Wut? You can buy the old controller if you wish lol

There is only one option right now.

MS is finally giving another better option.

And "I like" and "I don't like" move the world and makes all the difference.

Well take me less than 10 seconds to put my controller on desk and get a new one...

Before my controller battery ends my other controller will be ready again.

You can go out to any store and buy a battery pack for the XB1 controller right now. That can be charged via USB while you're using the controller just like a phone.

That way works better... so you don't need recharged bayberry at all?

So instead of having one controller with batteries you prefer having more controllers? lol.

From what you're describing, it seems to be a use case basis. I've never run down a battery in the Dualshock 4 because I never really play more than four hours at a time. After I'm done, I put it back on the recharge dock and its fresh the next time I want to use it.

The issue with good rechargeable batteries like Panasonic/Sanyo Eneloops are that they're not particularly cheap in Australia and add quite a notable amount of weight to the controller. I'm not a fan of heavy peripherals, from mice to controllers, so I remove the batteries from my Xbox One Elite controller and just use USB if I don't need wireless functionality. Weight doesn't really seem to be an issue with enclosed batteries, as seen with the Dualshocks and Wii U Pro controller.

So there are merits to enclosed batteries, especially if they run forever like that in the Wii U Pro controller.

So instead of having one controller with batteries you prefer having more controllers? lol.

If you have more than one controller lying around, why not?

I need another controller... a console with only one controller is useless in my opinion.
I always buys consoles with two controllers... local mp play is part of my life.

Yeah....what the fuck am I reading? No one is stopping you from getting the rechargeable pack, which is cheaper than a second controller. Or eneloops.

Never. You plug it in in the battery compartment like normal AA batteries. And you're done.

Plug in the USB cord that comes with it, or any standard micro-USB cord for that matter, and it'll charge just like you had a internal battery.

Damn you, now I remember that this argument was seriously used by people who defended the shortcomings of the DS4's battery life when it first became known.

I have eneloops for not only my 360 controller but for several purposes that rely on batteries. Weight is of course a legit reason but I am not bothered by it and always think that light peripherals feel cheap but that's only my opinion, of course.

Looks really nice. 2TB seems overkill though.

There are plenty of games that are a few dozen GBs in size though, can add up for ppl who are all digital with moderate libraries.

Also may help with storage for 4K video for people who'll do it? Is streaming 4K a viable thing now?
