As a developer, I'm just really hoping that our game gets shown off in a cool way. Obviously, we're not going to get a dedicated segment, but if we got a few seconds in an upcoming PS4/Vita indie game montage, I'd be very hyped.

I am looking forward to conference but Imo MS conference was really good just because of Scorpio. I know E3 is about games, which MS showed a ton of, but Imo hardware announcements get me way more excited. I hope Sony shows something about Neo.

What was wrong with the MS conference? They showed plenty of games, just only 2 new games, and those got leaked.

Did you watch it? The presentations were boring, games looked pretty rough, and almost all of that could be predicted. This is not the first time we are seeing Recore, Scalebound, a CG for Halo Wars, Gears, Sea of Thieves, and definitely not FF15. DR and Tekken are nice franchises but again, multi platform and are not something exciting at a conference IMO. If GOW is at Sonys presser, it won't feel like a leak because we've never seen GOW4 yet, and if they wow again like the usually do, it will feel even less predicable and lack luster. It's not just about showing games games games, it's about showing things that translate well to being shown on screen and are interesting to talk about.

MS needs to refine their press conferences.

I know nothing about what they're going to show off today. All I know is that they asked us for a trailer (which we showed off on Playstation Blog a few days ago) & some gameplay footage, but I don't even know if they're going to use any of that at the conference itself.

I am not understanding this logic. By the time Scorpio launches PS4/Neo sales with be at 60 million MINIMUM, while Xbox sales are stagnating in the US/UK and dead everywhere else.

The only company that has to be worried right now is MS. Scorpio is probably a make or break moment before MS decides to focus only on Windows 10.

That's the game that I think is going to be the rumored Rockstar Exclusive due to budget/sales potential. Agent is likely multiplaform now since it likely has more mass-market appeal

I think it's obvious Neo will be there. Both Andrew House and Phil Spencer 'officially' said their new hardwares wouldn't be at E3. We know 50% of that is false thus far.

Also, any notice the Scorpio announcement was eerily similar to the PS4 reveal, with the serious tone, and devs recorded saying it was what they were asking for, a powerful machine with no limits, etc? lol

I've never played Gears, so I won't be able to understand this from a fans perspective, but did you think it was a good showing?

God of War IV
Already revealed games like Horizon, Last Guardian, etc.
And then hopes of Crash and Agent, though nothing concrete.

IMO, Sony was smart to not show Neo this E3.

The Scorpio announcement was such a joke. I guess it's good for die hard Xbox fans but that's about it.

It's crazy because they pretty much only showed us games they showed last year, and then announced a new console coming a year and a half down the line. All those compelling games coming for your Scorpio.

The Microsoft conference in general or the Gears showing? I thought both were decent, nothing more. Highly predictable stuff (leaks didn't help). It especially lacked a last minute surprise. Gears was standard Gears stuff, but I'm not really sure what people expected.

You say it as if it's commendable of MS for showing games releasing soon. Problem is they've been showing these same games at last E3 and maybe even earlier, it's just that they're not showing anything new, relying on the same stuff time after time.

So what if it was only two new games? Every game on stage today, except maybe FFXV and Scalebound, demoed amazingly well. Constantly surprised at how smooth and fun all of it looked.

Considering how understated MS's Scorpio announcement was, I would be okay with Sony skipping the Neo announcement. Have a big reveal with a console and games, no need to rush it.
