Sony E3 Conference 2016 |OT|

What are you most excited for?

I hate to say it, but the news that the Crash Remasters and Skylanders were all we were getting out of Crash just ended my hype on the spot. Spider-Man still looks cool, but damn...

It's Sony's fault for letting the fans run with ideas. They don't own the property and this quick no footage remaster announcement before the crash skylanders stuff seemed like something that could have been thrown together recently in response.

Maybe we don't like these kind of games? lol

Honestly the most interesting thing I've seen all day is We Happy Few. I hope that's multi-plat as I don't own an X1. Horizon admittedly looks fucking cool but GG has never made a game I enjoyed.

I've got the VR preordered but we'll see how much I'm digging it next week when they have demo kiosks at Best Buy.

Amazing conference. Edge of my seat the whole time. Sold me on pretty much everything. Made me excited for VR.

And now I have to buy my first Call of Duty game. Fucking christ.

Couldn't possibly expect them to live up to last year's e3 of dreams... But man what a disappointing conference. Nothing really unexpected, nothing of the scale of FF7 Remake from last year.

I mean no shit. Something like FF7 takes nearly a decade of hype. You weren't going to see that at this conference.

We're people expecting Jesus Christ to resurrect during this conference or something? It was great, they should nothing but games!

Seems like it, lol.

I'm tired of seeing awkward speeches about things I'm supposed to like, that's why I think this conference was done very well.

I'll be buying another PS4 then. Had pretty much nothing to play so I sold mine.

God of War
Graphically awesome, Intimate looking combat. I really like the lore of God of War. Looks perfect to me.

Horizon
Graphics again look great, Gameplay looks really good interesting world.

Detroit Become Human
Super unique looking, Love the concept. Got a bit of a Blade Runner vibe.

Death Stranding
Love Kojima but I fear he might go to far with this. That said it looked interesting hopefully it's not a full horror title and it's more bizarre sci fi.

Spiderman
From what gameplay I could see it looked like the Spiderman game I want.

Crash Remakes sound awesome and the VR titles are looking really solid from what we seen.

Very good conference for me

Things I was right about this E3;
- Dead Rising 4, exclusive
- State of Decay
- Forza Horizon 3
- Xbox One S
- Xbox Play Anywhere
- Skyrim Remastered
- Spider-Man
- Crash Bandicoot (but not just Skylanders)
- Resident Evil 7 w/ VR support
- Death Stranding

Things I was about this E3;
- Rockstar showing off RDR at Sony's conference
- Resident Evil 7 being exclusive

83.3% accuracy ain't bad.

What a conference. No filler, no cringe. The longest Shawn spoke was actually to pay tribute to Orlando. And the rest was games everywhere.

VR isn't even really a thing yet and I'm kind of already tired of it. I was really hyped around the beginning of the year, but having lots of hands-on time with the Oculus and just seeing the upcoming content announcements across the three "major" VR platforms it feels kind of .. meh.

I think I'll be sticking to a 2D screen until the 2nd or 3rd generation of VR.

Solid conference that was well paced, but unusually short. Perhaps the Neo was indeed supposed to be there but was removed. Days didn't look like a game to end on. However, WHERE THE FUCK WAS RDR?!

I'll give it a 8.5 out of 10. Now I look forward to Nintendo for Zelda.

Red Dead showing up to this thing was a pipe dream from the beginning. It makes zero sense for Rockstar to have an announcement like that get lost in the noise of E3 when they can upload a countdown on their website when they feel like it and have everyone in the hobby giving them their complete attention. There wasn't even a precedent for them to make a reveal of that magnitude at a press conference.

I like games. I don't like the games they showed outside of Horizon and the 4 seconds of GT Sport.

The problem was 90% of the show was some variation on character action.

Most of what they showed was banging, but if you don't need that much character action in your life (even if the gameplay is different in each) I can see why you might be underwhelmed.

That was equally as exciting for me as last year. God of War... holy fucking shit. Horizon looks incredible. Bends game had me like whaaaat? The live music was awesome. Seeing Crash was awesome. Spiderman by Insomniac? Are you fucking kidding me? Kojima and Reedus are back? Like.. what the fuck Sony?

people thinking we are actually get a legit Crash game in 2016 have lost it

I thought this was a joke but people really think a new crash is coming out now and BY Naughty Dog. The studio doesn't even have the same crew that made crash.

I really am shocked at how many people in this thread are saying they are the most excited for Horizon. It, Days, and CoD were easily the low points of the show to me. Horizon looks pretty, but the gameplay looks dull, and the voice acting is terrible. And does she really have to give play-by-play narration of every little thing she does?

I think the best part of the conference was God of War. Looks like they're doing some kind of Tomb Raider/GoW hybrid or something. There was way too many post apocalyptic games this year.

I thought the format was incredible. No filler at all.

What I didn't really enjoy was that everything expect 2 games has no release date. Horizon might be the tipping point for me.

Eh that conference really didn't do much for me. The only game that really jumped out at me was Spider-man and even that felt off due to the really weird costume they gave him.
