High Quality Gif.

I see two kinds of swords and an axe. Another gif has a spear. Lots of weapon choices it seems.

Real talk: have some people here never seen how an E3 stream works?

This is how it works. Occasional trailers, interviews and game play throughout the stream.

Well least I got like a hour to see some Zelda stuff till later on in the day.XD Pokemon is looking great through, and I can't wait for more info on that.

That was really boring people can sugarcoat it or try and call out people as much as they want. I'm a huge poke fan and I watched to see some good stuff maybe a new trailer. What I got was 2 new Pokemon. A like 10 minute battle with a old ass Pokemon, a short ass intro to a new battle mode(this should've got more time not the first battle) and an old trailer. Makes sense some are disappointed.

I really don't understand Nintendo's approach to this E3. Yeah, there's not much to show, but there ARE games other than Pokemon and Zelda coming this year. 3DS has a decent list! You wouldn't know it going by this, though.

Do a 30 minute Direct with trailers and release dates. THEN you can go crazy with Zelda and Pokemon coverage.

Nintendo has been so lazy with Pokemon over the years, just small iterations game to game. There is so much potential with that franchise that they never tap into.

I feel that a lot of this thread is extremely hyperbolic.

However, this stream has been fairly meh. If you compare this to Sony's stream, this cannot touch it at all. Sony was just one massive sizzle reel of trailer after trailer.

Oh well, I'm sure the Zelda segments will be fun!

I appreciated that dry anal fisting Nintendo , thanks.
*Oh hey, it's a new Pokemon...yep looks like the last couple of Pokemon but this is Pokemon in Hawaii. Great..walk around check, fight Pokemon check, fight trainers check*
"How interesting" No, it isn't . Not one bit. Pokemon in Hawaii, I just saved 45 minutes of hell and misery.
Now that I have wasted my entire lunch hour on the sleep fest I will have to peek in and out for the rest.

Fans get angry if Nintendo only has Zelda to show.
Fans get angry if Nintendo has more than Zelda to show.

Pokemon sells millions each year and fans think it doesn't deserve time at E3.

Nintendo has the worst fanbase ever.

I wish I could quote this until the end of time.

People complaining about the Pokemon segment are ridiculous. You got a trailer and then you're getting the rest of today for Zelda. They never said it was a direct or a conference. If you watched past Treehouse Lives then you knew what this was going to be like.

Pokemon fans deserve their small segment to enjoy too.

She said the bracelets, character clothing, and a certain name said at carnival (I can't remember what it was) are all "worth noting" but can't be discussed right now.

She also said something about the bag, but I missed it.

The four pokemon battles are fine but why in the fuck you have to demonstrate the brain dead beginning of the game. Show some late game battles or some evolutions.

Why give away their biggest surprises? They also said that the game was not complete, so why not show off the part that probably has the most polish at this point?

Nintendo marketing or strategy planning or whatever really dropped the ball with this.

I don't know how much clearer they could have made it that this isn't a Direct or a presser, but is, in fact, Treehouse Live. This is exactly what every other Treehouse Live has looked like. Did you think the name was a ruse?

I say this as someone that hasn't cared about Pokemon since Red, but this is exactly what I expected to happen as soon as they announced Pokemon and other games were going to show up.

That was shitty. I understand they needed to show Pokemon, I get it. That's not the issue. The issue is that the demo sucked.

That could have all been done in 5-10 minutes, tops. Hell it probably could have been done in a two minute Direct segment. But they stretched it out so long for absolutely no reason other than to fill time.

I mean, whatever, it's over, but some people here are like "wow be patient" when there's no reason to be patient. That demo blew.

Thank. God.

People don't care that this was scheduled or that Pokemon still sells. A boring demo is a boring demo no matter which way you cut it. You tell people to tune in at X time, especially when they make it clear pretty much the entirety of E3 will be for Zelda, showing one trailer and then going "ok Pokemon guys! Here's a boring demo!" for upwards of half an hour is terrible pacing even if this is how they do Treehouses.

As a pokemon fan the qol improvements, new mons, new mode, and new cinematic camera stuff for battles was very exciting had a lot of info. Sorry if you're not a pokemon fan but I wanted more footage from sun/moon sad they cut it so early.

I'm sorry, it's just not interesting at all to watch someone play the first 30 minutes of a Pokemon game and explain everything. The small changes like a button shortcut to move explanations they make each gen aren't interesting to note except for people really into the series.

This whole thing makes it feel like Nintendo has dementia and doesn't even know how to do e3 anymore.

This entirely setup segment? Really?

On one hand, there's a schedule, on the other...

Did they think the people watching this would need to know how to catch a Pokemon or start a battle or whatever?

They probably think Pokemon sells way more than Zelda and all they really have to do is show it's a solid game.

They're probably right.
