if mafia ii wasn't an open world game it would be fondly remembered. i understand why they did it, but they would have been better off just making it a more mission based game. the free roaming added nothing to it

i still think the story in that game is fantastic and the attention to detail in the world was really impressive. it just really did itself no favours

Glad to heard that Horizon plays well and the crew liked Zelda. Best news so far of E3 for me. Also nice to hear they've improved on Titanfall. Might be a game I pick up in January now that's it'll be available on PS4.

Interesting, the first one wasn't too bad with that stuff. I'll probably end up seeing it since there's no particular E3 I want to watch during the day.

Damn the more I hear about Horizon the better it sounds to me. Describing it as an rpb with bow combat facing off against aggressive melee type enemies where you're really nimble and trying to dance around them. They just said you could recruit some of the creatures to join you in combat. It sounds like a really fascinating concoction of game mechanics that I've never quite seen anywhere else before.

That new David Cage game sounds really intriguing too, like it's an adventure game that's a cinematic police procedural done as homage to Blade Runner.

All in all this E3 has shown a direction they seem to be going that seems promising to me. There was something for fans of every type of genre, well unless you're into indie games.
