Agreed that Altissia looks amazing , especially night , makes me feel nostalgic again with Galbadia in FF8 or Treno in FF9 .
The FF8 feeling is helped due to it and XV having the same art director.
VIII's probably the closest the numbered game's flirted with having a full on modern world prior to XV as well, so that's probably another reason why it seems to be channelling some of it's atmosphere.
VIII is my personal favorite FF game (dozens of us, etc, etc) anyway, so that's more than welcome in my eyes.
Yeah, also, in terms of visual design, VIII holds up well, whether you like the game or not.
FFVII was originally going to have a modern setting. They opted to make it somewhat cyberpunk/dieselpunk setting. I recall Nomura saying that he still kept the idea of a "modern set" FF game in mind, which is why he decided on setting Versus in that type of world.VIII's probably the closest the numbered game's flirted with having a full on modern world prior to XV as well, so that's probably another reason why it seems to be channelling some of it's atmosphere.

Same, I may not like FF8as much of other people but it has a great designs that and the music.
8 is my least favorite, but I do like the visual design. Just don't like how it's realized in-game.
Definitely time for another grounded and realistic looking mainline FF.
Holy shit holy shit holy shit. Okay, so apparently from Gamefaqs there is an active mode aside from wait mode, which actually turns off holding to attack. In that mode, you have to press to attack.
Can anyone here confirm? Best news regarding FFXV for me if true.

Did Matt redeem himself tonight?
Where did the Campanile (the big clock tower) go, that is so typical for Venice and certainly a Venice-inspired city?

Here with campanile next to the multiple domed cathedral:

People who never go back to Dollet after the landing mission
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit
Which version is this? Anyone good at pixel counting?
Actually, looking at it more closely, it seems like it is sub native, even without pixel counting.
It could be native 1080p - their AA is just terrible.Which version is this? Anyone good at pixel counting?

I don't think so, it looks like details in the distance are blurred. I don't really like using this term, but it almost has a Vaseline filter. I get the feeling it is below even 900p but I hope I'm wrong. It could be native 1080p - their AA is just terrible.
Let's hope the PC debug version is not indicative of either console versions then.iirc tabata said it's the pc debug version

Is there a reason Dominos pizza is promoting FFXV or is it just a play on words?

Really glad we can turn off all of the HUD gore. Parry with no prompts.

Those scorpions look scary.
I hope there are places we can only reach by airship.
