Mythical Pokemon being distributed throughout 2016

I have a spare Mew code from the newsletter if anyone would like it. (North America.)

...But would it be sort of a dick move to ask for a Kalos legendary? I don't have the game and sort of don't want it, but I want the Pokemon from the region, so yeah... I don't have Xerneas or Yveltal. I got Zygarde from a recent distribution but I didn't know Xerneas or Yveltal were being distributed until too late. But I don't need the event versions or shiny ones, just any regular kind would do--and just one of them. I'd really appreciate it!

Would there be any way to trade for a US Hoopa?
I THINK that's the only one I'm missing.

You might have had the same problem I had. You have to check a box in your profile to opt into the newsletter after making a Pokemon Club account.
 
Can someone please help with my issue with re-obtaining Shiny Xerneas and Yveltal. I am not sure if this was my fault but, Ive downloaded most of the mystery gifts without any issues. But last month when I trying to the Shiny Xerneas and Yveltal, Yveltal was downloaded successfully but I might have not saved when I received the pokemon. So when I went to try to download it again, the game thinks I have already downloaded even though, its not in the pokemon centre storage box nor in my team.
By the looks of it, Nintendo is offering a second chance to anyone that initially missed out on any of the pokemons that I missed out on the first run. I am hoping it will happen again with these two but whats the likely hood that it will let me download the same pokemon again? Anyone came across a similar issue as me? :(

Have you talked to the woman in the Pokemon Center? She stand right in front of where you get your Pokemon healed. That's where you get your Pokemon. If you already did that and you still can't find them you're probably gonna have to trade with somebody. I don't think it matters if you save or not, I always reboot my game to get the right characteristics and it nature for said mystery gift Pokemon
 
So the QR code can outright give you a Pokémon? Interesting, but I was hoping it would lead to more ingame events, with an area opening and you have to go catch the Pokémon there. I much prefer that, but eh, okay.

AFAIK the only second chance is Mew, because there were issues with getting enough codes/cards printed the first time around and it was kind of an unfair distribution. You're probably out of luck.

They've abandoned that model entirely because "kids were too confused to figure out where to go and what to do." This has been since at least Diamond/Pearl, where they never actually distributed the event item to go get Arceus in-game!

I was just thinking that instead of having those long codes on cards/e-mails, the QR code would automatically insert the unique code. Sort of like how when you scan a QR code and it reveals a website code, except with Pokemon codes. They'd expire by being used, like the mystery gift codes we currently have. Maybe that's a bit to difficult to pull off right now, though. Either way, I'm excited about the convenience of this feature!

Yeah I did that and she wasnt there anymore. But yeah, might need to hunt down someone who has them but not too bothered if I dont have them. But thanks for the reply.
