The general consensus is all those undecided people will vote for the status quo, so you from even polls you could get a 20% swing to remain.

Usually there is a break to status quo from undecideds (undecideds that actually show up to vote, that is), and it seems like a good rule of thumb is approximately 2/3 break to status quo and 1/3 to the other side. I think allocating all the undecideds to one side is a little unrealistic.

Yup totally. I grew up in Norfolk and nearly everyone* I know back home is supporting Leave. Even the one Norfolk boy I have working for me here in London is for Leave.
(*except my immediate family and one friend)

I know quite a few people who have never voted before (be it in their 20's or over 50) who are voting in this and the majority of them are voting leave (or have already via post)... I think remain will win, but I am still cautious a bit by the ones that are fairly quiet about these things and won't show up on such polls. I imagine there's quite a few on the remain side too like this, hopefully they do go out and vote as well.
(I'm also aware that this is a very small sample etc, just a couple of handfuls in fact, but does make me wonder what it's like elsewhere)

I've just moved to another part of Leeds and it's like an awesome little mix of things. Directly opposite is a proper English ale bar with proper English fish and chips next door. Then an Asian owned hairdressers, halal butchers, chain corner shop, family owned English bakers and Asian grocery store...

Lol, sounds exactly like where I live. I'm right by an English ale bar, which is next to an Indian snack bar, two Indian restaurants and both Polish and Asian grocery stores.

I think that's pretty much indicative of most towns in the UK, even where I am in rural Norfolk.

Once you reach a certain age, you shouldn't have a say on key matters that will affect the country for decades. There's no sense in offering an 80yo the vote to remain or leave. They won't see past their own immediate needs.

What a wonderful example of a true democratic belief "hey you aren't voting the way I want you to vote so you don't get a say". It could be argued that the older generation have suffered at the hands of the EU the longest therefore they are best placed to decide whether to continue with this sham of a union.

Oh and lest we forgot that some in that age range you want to deny the right to vote on actually erm well they kinda fought for their right to have a say.

Similar here. Vast majority of the town is resolutely English, but the one little back street where my shop is has Iranians, Turks, Japanese, Filipino, Greek, Australian.

I kinda love living out in Cowley for this reason at the moment. So many good places to eat apart from anything else.

yes, and the move is very significant, but if you bet on betfair you can 'lay off' so if the odds come in for leave (that is the gamble) and the odds go out for remain you can then back remain to lay off your bet and lock in a profit....

No, I don't think the EU's perfect. Which human union couldn't use improvement? There used to be moaning every year here in the Netherlands when we wouldn't even make it to the final how it was all rigged and political, and a Western country could never win. Then one year we sent a quality song and finished second in the final, which thankfully seems to have shut people up

Also, if we play Germany at any point in the Euros, they have to take a dive. That goes for Wales and NI against Germany too. Like, next group game against NI if you don't mind Germany.
