Compared to the politics of Gove, Farage and Johnson he will seem positively kind hearted despite his nasty anti disabled sick and poor benefit cuts.
Look at what he does instead of what he says. Also, he's happy to say nasty stuff if Tory PR has told him to. He's happily called Corbyn a terrorist and happily used parliamentary privilege to make false claims about Sadiq Khan being an extremist sympathiser. So no, just because now it benefits him not to engage in vile rhetoric, doesn't mean he's above that at all.
