As a political reporter at a regional newspaper, I must say it has been a fascinating (if predictable) campaign.

Remain has won the battle on the economy and Leave on immigration.

'Facts' have been revealed as lies and lots of people have done lots of shouting.

I expect the Remain camp to claim victory, not by much but it won't be as close as some expect either.*

Very good outlook. Seems like I can sleep at least and dont need to worry that much anymore :D

Can we all at least take solace in the fact that whatever the result, it's likely to tear the Tory party apart after this vile campaign?

They'll still poll ahead of Corbyn though

Still sounds worryingly tight to me.

In particular I am concerned that the telephone polling may have understated the Leave vote as, in my limited experience over the last few weeks (and as I posted somewhere above), Leave voters are less inclined to want to talk about their preference.

There's still everything to vote for, and I am exceedingly nervous about it.

Being as I'm normally a Conservative voter it is not something I take solace in at all. But on the other hand it is much needed, and I very much hope that they coalesce around the saner - that is, not the rightwing libertarian nutter - wing of the party.

Probably because the lazy bastards never go out and vote in Euro elections.

Nah bro. I just watch random YouTube videos from random angry dudes telling me why Brexit is the best.
[Something about Turkey]
[Something about immigration] [random statistic]
[Something about jobs]
[Something about Jeremy Kyle switching to a new channel]

I've enjoyed it much more than I thought. But it's also been a shambles, a mess, and shouty bullshit. Remarkable.
Did you expect anything less?

The twitter responses to the polls are ridiculous, brexiters calling pullers liars, saying all kinds of shit. I really have to say my eyes have been opened to a lot of the Out supporters, frankly they live in a world of their own completely devoid of any logic and full of conspiracy theories.

You've had your eyes opened by...Twitter responses?

According to fivethirtyeightd podcast on it, there's a whole bunch of reasons why either methodology may be flawed and missing the point. Nate was quite critical of British pollsters at the end, saying they always seem to be tinkering too much with their models and fighting the last election.

I think it will be very, very close but it's not outside the realms of possibility that one campaign ends up with a 10 point win. Just praying for remain at this stage.

This is like watching a car crash in slow motion. And the feeling is that even if the passengers will survive, the car will be badly damaged either way.

If remain wins I want the conservatives to say it's over for a generation, the people have spoken. I don't know if the party could do it without exploding and fuelling UKIP.
