That is so incredibly vile.

That's pretty backwards. :(

Cheers for the info, though. :)

Sort of, but also not. While I agree with John Oliver and though it was good, if there weren't those rules, Sky News could go full-Fox, or a channel could play that bullshit Brexit the movie.

It's awkward when entertainment is involved rather than straight news, but I sort of believe it's for the best.

Damn, that movie was so hilariously misleading, it was like a comedy.

Some old chap just posted a "Last chance to take back control" leaflet through my door. Little late for that, consigned it straight to the recycling bin. Lots of people walking along to the polling station though.

I'm less worried about sore-loser right wingers than I am about empowered racists and xenophobes thinking over half the country is behind them if Brexit wins.

I'm actually surprised at The Telegraphs stance.

Thought they'd be Pro-EU
All though the campaign they've been beating the drum for Leave.

Quietened down last few days though

Yeah, Cameron either didn't care or miscalculated how much impetus this whole thing is giving to the far far right.

An hour later and everything has moved in favour of remain. As at 1020 the markets are the following:

FTSE100 - 6,323 (up 1.0%)
£ - USD 1.482
Betfair - 1.19 (84% remain)

Another hour and another update. In the past hour the markets have all moved towards a remain win, again. The markets at 1120 are:

FTSE100 - 6,364 (up 1.6%)
£ - USD 1.489
Betfair - 1.16 (86% remain) I believe this is the highest probability it has ever been.

Remain will win, it's inevitable.

But despite that, I still believe somewhere in the system some tampering will occur. It seems almost impossible that the whole thing will be counted to 100% accuracy, someone's bound to shift things about, even if it is one person.

I have moved from very cautious optimism to cautious optimism.

Local polling station.

they're desperate!

Trying to remember the exact rules about canvassing outside polling stations. I think there's a max distance requirement?

Edit: Tellers (which I would guess this person counts as) is permitted to wear a campaign rosette or badge. I don't think that counts as a badge.

Going to the polls in an hour or so. It's going to be weird actually voting for something rather than spoiling my ballot in protest of FPTP

I have a similar feeling, though in my case it's voting for a party with a 0% chance of actually winning.
The main reason I voted last time was to make the Tory/UKIP/BNP's share of the vote appear 0.002% smaller. Tories won by over 8,000 votes as usual, though I can justabout claim that the majority of people didn't vote Tory, since he only got 48% of the vote.

Yeah, I suppose... I think it's just the double-standards that annoy me. We stop Sky News from going all Fox, but we don't stop The Daily Mail from doing the same thing? The medium is different, but the intent to deceive and inflame is still there. And you can argue that the front-pages of papers have an easier time in convincing people of a certain view against a TV program where you actually have to make a concerted effort to watch/listen.

lol, that one is actually fake. The real one was posted yesterday (the one with the sun rising in the North).

I considered it a bit, I see the sun on northern sky every night as it is the polar day. So actually the sun isn't rising, it's midnight.

I still have issues with how small the earth is.

Be more interesting news wise if leave wins especially what Cameron will do about it.

Remain will win the public will shrug and everything go back to normal.

voted remain

I've had almost entirely Conservatives for Remain ads on FB, and Vote Leave ads on Twitter.

As a lefty remain voter, I think their metrics are off.

The Conservatives use of FB advertising at the general election last year was considered to be way ahead of the other parties, and very very targeted.

voted remain

As a Remain voter, I bitterly hope the tone of a Remain victory is humble and the establishment learns something from a lot of the Leave arguments and DOES something about it otherwise we will just be deferring this problem for another day

lol status quo to resume by 5pm Friday
