Haven't seen anyone mention the GOAT, the perfect Chocolate Tea Straw

I voted out today. My main reason for this is i think every country in europe should keep its identity and govern itself, we can still be united as separate countries. we can still trade freely and have an open system of immigration. I dont like the whole single currency one government, united states of europe thing that will likely happen somewhere down the line.
Isn't it what UK enjoys now through a particukar status, able to keep its own laws, currency and yet be part of the open travelling, open economic borders and other advantages?

Pulling out, if it ends up having seriously negative repercussions on finances and economy, on top of being a nuisance for people travelling to and from the UK (making a slightly less desirable destination for tourism on top), re-applying might come at the cost of the loss (as it should be) of the current "special snow flake" status.

I get that the one foot in, one foot out current situation means having a huge financial burden coupled with less political sway than say France or Germany, but is the solution really to put both feet out?

As per culture, it seems to me that every country in Europe has kept its peculiarities, from languages to food to art, so I'm not quite sure where that comes from tbh.

Sour Cola Gummy for me

Why stop there? Everyone should split back into villages of no more than 100 people. Moving between villages is only allowed with written permission from the village elders.

for our identity

Believe it or not, someone I know voted out because of that very reason. He bloody wants Birmingham to be its own governing body.

Needless to say, I am not gonna be a close friend with that dude, because that sounded incredible to me.

I doubt this is a normal trading day.

Anyways, population figures are in. 65.1m
Net migration is up 335,600. Highest level since early 1990s.
Natural population growth is 171,800. Lowest level for nine years.
Immigrants increased the number of 20s and thirties.

For me this following paragraph is very key:
"There are now 11.6m people aged 65 and over — 2m more than there were 10 years ago. Those aged 65 and over now make up 17.8 per cent of the UK population, compared with 16.0 per cent in 2005."

And yet over 65's account for around 40% of the NHS' budget

This is why migration is still important, with an ever aging population they're needed more than ever to prop up a system under ever increasing demand. Most migrants are working age and they pay in more than they take out, they're absolutely helping the country and without them we'd have a serious demographic problem.

As an American I feel like we're getting shafted really hard on quality candy. Some of these photos in here look to be godtier

I just got back from a trip to US and bought plenty of snacks back. Some of it (peanut butter M&Ms!!) is awesome but there's some real trashy stuff too and so many artificial flavours etc. Twizzlers looked really nice but have hardly any flavour. I got some almond choc sweets which contain "fat free milk and milk fat" and some pepperoni bites which contain "real and artificial flavouring", no pepperoni flavouring but at least they contain beef fat lol.

our candy is horrible. i envy you all.

pretzel m&ms are incredible tho

Ah man, someone posted Rhubard and Custards. No long journey was complete without a bag of those, a bag of Lemon Sherberts and a bag of Wine Gums.

Brb, getting fat reliving my childhood.

Dear UK:

Please vote "Remain" so that my UK passport can continue to allow me to have easy travel through the EU, otherwise it pretty much becomes useless.

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
An American with a UK passport

Oh yeah the pretzels were nice and you guys sure know how to smoke and grill meat! I went to a place called Epic Smokehouse and BBQ and had an amazing smoked steak :D

I have some Mile & Ike jelly beans yet to open. Hoping they're nice!

Was it being shared for ridicule purposes or people actually believing that nonsense? As anyone who used google would know the visa thing being negotiated is not 75 million and even if it was 90% of the Turkish population do not possess passports and 100% of the population isn't Muslim either. Not to mention I don't think a 100% exodus of a country has ever happened (authorities tend to intervene if you look at say, East Berlin).

It is a shame we live in an age where information is so free but such bullshit is still touted.
Well the dude from my friendlist who shared it on facebook did so because he actually believed it. Dude is nice to talk to and is respectful in person regardless of their ethnicity and skin colour, but is a closet racist because when it comes to Britain..."they are taking it away".

Dude also shares posts without fact checking ever, I remember last year around the Charlie Hebdo attack there were a few Pakistani guys celebrating Pakistan's victory over England in cricket and they were chanting "Pakistan Zindabad" which just means "Long live Pakistan". Some idiot page posted the video and said these were people supporting the Charlie Hebdo attackers, dude shared it immediately ofcourse.

I don't even know why I have him of FB, I haven't even seen him for 2 years.

I've been largely in the dark about this topic (American, go figure) but I'm curious, what are the biggest benefits to leaving the EU, versus staying?

Leave our sweets alone! All you Americans coming over and taking our sweets.

It's not just deliberate bullshitting, it's the hilarious/tragic paradox of 'common sense' thinking being anything fucking but. You only have to think about it for a few minutes to realise 75 MILLION MUZZIES is horeshit, even if were possible, which is extremely unlikely.

I like a thick layer on my toast but, yeah, they probably lay it as if they were laying a brick wall. I like anything Marmite-flavoured. The Marmite flavour cashews they sell in Tesco are particularly delicious.

A cheddar sandwich becomes orgasmic with a hint of Marmite, even if it's just Marmite crisps.

Most snacks here in the states are gutter tier, honestly. Candy is mostly a wash, as a lot of it just tastes like straight sugar or has no taste at all. There are some exceptions, but it's a sad state of affairs for the most part. I will say this though... Utz Salt & Vinegar chips are Supreme Being Tier and at least we have them, even if everything else sucks haha.

Ridicule it all you want, the fact is that people have a hard time identifying themselves with the such a large entity like the EU and don't feel represented at all. When most people don't even bother to vote, you've got a serious problem in your democracy.

I agree somewhat. To be fair the retired generation are supposed to take up a bigger amount of the NHS.

The aging population is still a concern. Especially when more than half the elderly live alone - which is sad but also a generational innificient resource problem.
Edit: in that more and more people are living alone now than in the nineteen fifties.
