Steam Summer Sale 2016 |OT| It's better than nothing

Axiom Verge at $12 seems to be a new low, might dive in on that considering that out of the Metroidvania bundle I already own Shantae and Momodora, and don't need Salt and Sanctuary.

Also, everyone buy Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight. I don't even know the discount. It doesn't matter. Buy it.

So became all the bundles that had a discount before the sale more expensive and it was actually a very big price glitch or what happened to them?

Stardew Valley at $11.99? Go for it?

Also Fable Anniversary for $5. Time to finally play it.

It's probably the GOTY, and I don't even play those kind of games. My S/O does, though, and she's logged over 200 hours in it already. Just seeing the little nuances added and how everything, down to the perfect soundtrack, was a one man show just boggles my mind.

Co-Op is coming next to the game with a whole slew of other updates.

Many of the discounts for games that got already bundled (but I didn't get) are straight up abysmal. What were they thinking?

Shadowrun: HK is 65% though.

Value? That's a hard no.

My GF has been playing it like crazy and I know MP support is coming so maybe I should bite.

Do it.
If you like Harvest Moon, this will be your drug.
If you've never played Harvest Moon, this will be your drug.

Everyone should buy Stardew Valley.

Do you like the older Harvest Moon games, like Friends of Mineral Town? If yes, then you should probably consider buying Stardew Valley. I ended up spending 80+ hours with it earlier this year and really enjoyed my time with it. The developer has already released patches to fix some of the problems I had with it (like spouses essentially losing their personalities after marriage). Plus he's hinted at tons of planned content down the road (more marriage candidates, new areas, multiplayer, etc.).

Assuming the prices stay correct, there are quite a few indie games at 75% off that i will pick up but it seems none of my top 10 must haves are more that 30% off.

Is Batman Arkham Knight completely fixed or shouldn't bother on PC?

Its fixed-ish. If you have a beefy computer, it runs better and looks better than the consoles. It just isn't as smooth as the previous games. Maybe with the next gen cards and cpus it will fly but right now, it runs ok.

Well fuck, could've bought everything I want on humblebundle a few weeks back for the same price and even give somethig to charity. "Wait for the steam sale" just isn't good approach for buying stuff anymore

I hear ya. Lesson learned. I'm going to scope out other sites more and stop waiting for Steam sales that never pan out anymore.

Not a great sale on AC Syndicate :(
All the Assassin's Creed games have poor excuses of a discounts. They are higher than previous sales. I think if i really want one of these dames on the pc, I am better off waiting for a sale on Ubi's own store.

so uhh... is Humble or GMG or other fine online retailers having their own summer sale?

No kidding. Both just had their summer sales even.

The Daily-/Flash-sale days are over :(

The fuck? Wow...

Looks like I'll just wait until next year on GTA V then since I'd be double dipping there. I should have just bought Max Payne 3 and other older games for cheap during last years steam sale. Last year I bought the entire bioshock series for $12 on a bundle sale. Witcher 2 cost me only $3 fucking dollars.

I don't think I can wait until next year to play Witcher 3 because I'm afraid that bloodborne's combat will ruin Witcher 3 for me, so I'd rather play it first...

Alright guys I'm in. Just gotta wait for the store to load.

OOPS, WRONG STEAM SUMMER SALE BADGE!

GAF is such a wonderful place. Posted my wishlist in preparation for the sales today, and gar3 gave me Shadowrun: Dragonfall out of nowhere. Thank you so much man!

Looking at the sale, all my most wanted games have crappy deals, only 20% off Hyper Light Drifter and Superhot. Only -10% for Salt & Sanctuary. No sale at all for Transformers Devestation. Witcher 3 is looking tempting with 50% off.

600+ games on my Wishlist. At a quick guess about 450 are on sale, to one degree or another. But some of the ones I'd expect to be on sale aren't - Contradiction and Final Fantasy IX, for instance, aren't showing any discount. This makes me think it's still updating.

I think you should re-evaluate what you're actually going to have time to play.
