Turnout 68%
Remain 55%
Leave 45%

Which is going to confuse Scottish folk on Twitter that have the 45% ribbon lol.

As for me, I haven't voted yet and don't know if I can be arsed. I want to remain part of the EU but I want wholesale changes and total reform of the EU Parliament which is never going to happen, so what's the point?

If you want to remain, then vote remain :)

It's also always easier to change something when you're inside it than from the outside.

One of the few leave voters I know starting chiming on today about how we're going to vote leave and how the EU is terrible. I cba with him anymore and just replied: Whats so bad about it?

My other coworkers reacted since they knew I was the biggest pro-remain guy in the office and he was the biggest pro-leave.

He started talking about how we don't have any power in the EU, I figured he was going to talk about the European Commission but no, he said the real power was with the banks :S

He then said how we had no power or wealth so I asked how would he gage wealth, he replied with happiness. I then retorted, people aren't happy unemployed. He replied, their jobs are going anyway, might as well get it over and done with.

I couldn't reply to that, no one else did either, he seemed like he just went over the deep end talking so casually about people being made unemployed :/

I was thinking there might be a recount. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
Apparently, there will not be any recounts on a national level, the numbers that are announced in Manchester tomorrow morning will be final. There might be recounts on a local level, but that's only for errors in counting, and not for closeness.

Additionally, if both Remain and Leave get the same number of votes, the referendum will be declared a draw, and presumably Parliament will have to come to a decision one way or the other.

Voted remain and immediately regretted it! In principle I am broadly in favour of Brexit, because I think the EU is corrupt, inefficient and incredibly undemocratic. (I don't really care about migration per se as it doesn't effect me, though I do think more targeted migration would be preferable). but voted remain because I am scared of the economic consequences. Feel a bit cowardly.

I was also put off by the brexiters. I don't like gove, Widdecombe or Ian Duncan Smith so it would have felt strange to line up with them.

leave 60%

remain 35%

turnout 50%

it'll be like that moment last year when the exit poll came out and it said TORY MAJORITY

Yup, embarassing.

Let's hope there are lots more out there like you.

I'm happy to give a completely genuine hurrah for cowardice here, since it's completely warranted in this case.

It's like you're talking about the UK.

Bad news for Remain:

The Guardian said:
The problems at London transport hubs could potentially affect the ability of thousands of people to vote.

Waterloo, where there appears to be no service at all, alone serves 90 million passengers a year, which is about 250,000 a day on average (although the average obviously includes weekends, holidays etc). Canon Street, Charing Cross, London Bridge, Victoria, and likely other stations have also been affected. They are all major commuter stations with many people likely to have left for work this morning before polls opened. The Rail Delivery Group says among the train operators affected are Abellio Greater Anglia, Gatwick Express, Southern, South West Trains and Thameslink.

Thunderstorms, floods, rail delays.

If I was a religious man, I'd be inclined to say that God was having a bit of a jolly jape today.

GAF PREDICTIONS

Right, I'm ready to reopen the GAF predictions spreadsheet:

Any new predictions, post them and I'll add them in.

If you've already given a prediction, but want to update it, then do as well. Personally while I'm still happy with my percentage - I've upped turnout because I've changed my mind on that.

EDIT: Maybe I should add a column for best British sweet too.

Turnout : 78%

Remain : 52%
Leave : 48%

Note : England please vote leave and gimme Indyref 2!

Definitely being trolled. She was 90 at the start of March last year and turned 91 in the middle of March last year therefore she would be 92 this year. Not 93.

I need to go lie down. Maybe the fast is making me go crazy :P

Haha. Don't lie down. You're the sharp one.

If her Bday is on 20th of March, it adds up. Don't skip the first year.

I kept doing that. Maybe I'm being dumb but is this correct?

Probably a fictional person, don't know why her age would matter if real.

Perfectly rational choice. By which I mean, same logic as me.

I'd hate to be the MI5 agent who is rubbing out all the "Leave" votes and changing them to "Remain." What a boring job.

Bro hide your true feelings like me. We don't want to rustle English GAF jimmies.

All I'm saying is wait till tomorrow morning when Leave wins to celebrate in this thread.
