Can someone help me? I don't know which version of Binding of Isaac to get.

There's normal, collection, Rebirth, Awakening and I've got no clue. Typicall a 'collection' has them all but this one is older than REbirth or Awakening O_o

Rebirth is the sequel. The collection is for the original game.

Depends? You want the first one or the later one? I can gift you the first one for free if you add me

That's awfully nice of you but I'd like to support the developer :-)

Is Rebirth like a remake or original + new stuff? Or if I want the original story I should by Rebirth?

Rebirth is the newest version and has the most content. Afterbirth is the expansion for Rebirth.

Wondering if I should bite on Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN for 33% off, I assume the story mode in the upcoming game this fall will be totally different? I actually get a kick out of the cheesy anime stories of these things, so I mostly play for the characters and anime action of it all.

Also, Curse N Chaos at 60% - are people into that game?

Deals are kinda disappointing. Only ones I'm considering at the moment are:

- Victor Vran (75% off) for $5
- Castle in the Darkness (70% off) for $3
- 12 is better than 6 (70% off) for $3
- Broken Age (80% off) for $5

...what do you guys think? Good value?

What Metroidvania bundle?

I don't like 12 is better than 6 at all. One of the few games I've refunded. Very janky and not tight at all.

I really liked Victor Vran (it's got amazing production values, the main character is voiced by the guy who did the voice of Geralt, and it's an isometric arpg in which you can jump)
I think that people also liked Castle in the Darkness (I have it, but I haven't played a lot of it)

Can barely browse the store page and when i tried to buy something it keeps failing. Spent half an hour trying to make a purchase. I give up, fuck off Steam.

40% off Doom is a legit great deal. Can't really say no considering how recently the game came out...

EDIT: I mean, I would if Steam would stop going belly-up on me.

£20-ish is m ylimit. ALready bought Dex despite the poor performance of the store. Disappointed by the Stardew Valley discount but I'm well into Story of Seasons, so getting my farming fix. Can wait til Christmas on this.

There's no point in playing the original anyways with Rebirth's existence. It's arguable new players should flat out ignore it due to the performance.

rebith is the newer version that has an afterbirth dlc.

binding of issac and was it... wrath of lamb is the dlc for that.

you want rebirth as it for the most part is just the original with better programming and more to do.

So basically if I buy Rebirth now and Afterbirth later, I've got it all?

all that is currently out yes.
there is one more DLC coming for rebirth that will add a few things in game, but the major thing it will add is steam workshop support.

I can heavily recommend Castle in the Darkness. Pretty challenging but in a good way, lots of great bosses and a nice soundtrack. One of the better metroidvania-styles games releases in last few years.

One day Resident Evil Remaster will get a higher discount than 40% off. One Day...

You can buy 10€ keys for it for a long time now. With the prices of MMOGA/GMG/etc. in comparison to Steam (and on top of that no daily deals) Steam sales don't wow me anymore. Especially since publishers started to sell games at 59,99€. Takes a long time to get good deals on Steam now.

Is Dark Corners of the Earth filled with jumpscares? If it's more like Bioshock (with some added horror) then I'm all in but I'm quite a baby when it comes to jumpscares.

Heh, I see that there's no general consensus on W1 and W2. I guess I'll start with W1. Thanks for the opinions.

W1 is amazing, only thing that makes it boring is the combat that's atrocious. W2 is the lowest point in the franchise but still better than 98% of the other games.

Yes, its like the first except 1000% more content and a better engine. I highly recommend it.

Downwell is 50% off so 1.50€

Death Skid Marks, a rogue-like car combat game is 75% off, looks neat, but also looks like bundle fodder so /shrug

Absolutely. W2 is just a flat out crap game, I think we can all admit that now.

Game is great. Great story, with fantastic art direction and music. It has a reverse difficulty curve like 85% of all RPG's out there, but other than that it's a great game. There really hasn't been a bad Witcher game. Witcher 1,2, and 3 are all fantastic in different ways.

I might just ask here...

What do I do when an update is "stuck" in steam?

Steam just keeps rescheduling the download for one game, but never actually does it.

Forcing it to download also does not work.

The prices for the older games are still good for the most part. I didn't pick up Max Payne 3 last year around this time, but pricing looks to be the same as last summer's steam sale.

I'm looking for retro 2d action platformers. The fact that both 20xx is on the sale, and Freedom Planet is back on there... it's a mighty strong double dose.

I'm gonna shill Catch Me.

It is only 25% off, but it's a recently released Early Access game + the base price is already pretty low.
Despite being Early Access it's already pretty fun, plus it isn't a story game.
I've already spent more than 20 hours with it and I give it two thumbs up, especially at the discounted price of 3,74€.

I'm seeing lots of 50% and 60%'s on my wishlist, might pick up a few. I've been waiting for Shovel Knight to go 7.50 for so long, I might just bite on 10 bucks.
