Gary Barlow got his piano out again?

And those are the nice ones.

I pull no punches with this. No matter your personal reasons for voting leave, based on the Current lack of planning, foresight or vision about what would happen if we would leave the EU I take a dim view of each and every leave voter.

With respect, I think you have chosen the wrong target here. It is largely the campaign, not the voters, that is at fault.

For example:

It smacks of a fundamental lack of understanding of commerce, immigration, business, laws, politics and the global economy as it stands in 2016.

I mean, just how much of this is it reasonable to expect the average voter to understand? Pretty nearly none of it I imagine.

And this...

Finally it is a political tool, used those on the far right to grab more power, convincing the uniformed that the problems that they are experiencing are not caused by a lack of investment and support, but actually cause by some outside entity and this perfect neat solution of leaving the EU will somehow make everything better. The worse type of con, because regradless of the outcome of tonight's vote, the association has been made for people disinterested to seek out the truth and research for themselves.

... is all about the campaigns and not the voters.

I get what you are saying, but I struggle to think of a workable remedy.

For instance it seems very stupid that "misleading the House of Commons" is a severe offence for a politician, but "misleading the voting public" is not. But I can't see a way of making this into something that would stick.

The upshot though is that, if there is only a narrow win for Remain, it isn't only a narrow win - it is a huge victory for remain against every duplicitous scheming self-serving statement omission and insinuation that Leave could throw at the problem and they still lost.

If there is a win for Leave I shall despair along with you.

Around how many hours until the results are known? I figured it would've been a few hours ago already.

Hehe only if it's Leave (it won't be)

Anecdotally and take this however you want, but this 'The Big Global Financials are super secret conducting exit polls of sorts continually right now' line of thinking...the big Global Financial I work for aren't doing jack at this exact moment in time.

I know the guy (gal actually) who would probably know and beyond having a team on call, its fairly BAU right now (in context as much as it could be).

No ninja conspiracy polling. All projections and contingencies have been done a while back.

It is hedge funds not banks as far as I remember. The hedge funds make massive bets e.g. Brexit.

I think everyone i've talked to today told me they are voting leave. Hardly surprising in my area though. Nationally i think it will be very close.

Wouldn't that be you couldn't tell people how I voted but I could?

Edit: I'm probably wrong too.

I suspect that the operative word here is "publish". It'll be OK to tell people, but perhaps not to post it on public social media/message boards? I guess I'll have to go look it up won't I (sigh) ...

I am uneducated in the ways of the big city, What causes this? Are they voting in the station?
Or is that what the station usually looks like at this time?

I don't know about the trains at Waterloo specifically but there were delays on my line today because of all the flooding.

Absolutely terrified of leave winning this.

Just like at the GE, most voters keep things close to their chest and I imagine that would especially be the case if you are voting leave.

I am a bit surprised remainers are sweating it, all indications are this isnt going to be that close.

On the one hand, there are plenty of encouraging signs for Remain.

On the other hand, AHHHHH EVERYBODY PANIC WE ARE DOOMED

I'm more scared of the opposite, personally, as I don't see remain losing.
Over here most people I've chatted to are openly 'leave' so I'm guessing whatever cagey-ness peeps in your neck of the wood vs the calm open-ness thing here might be a local phenomenon on a per local basis :3

Things like this are why I will never live in London. That kind of crowd is my worst nightmare. I do feel for all the people trapped there though, I can imagine how frustrating it must be.

Bizarrely, I expect a significant proportion of those people will be travelling beyond London. If I was in that throng of people and I actually lived in London (in the direction SWT services) I'd get a cab or bus.
