the cynic in me thinks they would say this if they knew they were going to actually win just to make it even more of a surprise
Ultimately what the two campaigns say isn't important, what matters is the actual outcome. Both campaigns were a shameful dumpster fire as far as I'm concerned, appealing to hysteria and emotion rather than actually bothering with the real systems at playA) The campaign wasn't based around that though, it was based on Xenophobia
B) Leaving the EU gives the UK less say in what the EU does. The EU is also arguably a lot less beurocratic than Westminster, and has been responsible for a lot of successes.
Just been asked on tube by @BorisJohnson if I voted leave. I say no. He concedes He's lost anyway. Awkward #EUref

51% leave, 49% remain, 69% turnout.
Really hope you guys stay in the EU though.
How well UKIP does in the next general election depends on when it is. If the conservative government collapses and there is an election in the next few months I could see them doing well since Labour and the Conservatives are both a clusterfuck right now.
If UKIP surges to something like 20% of the votes and still get screwed by the FPTP system, wouldn't that really fuck over the right in general?

No exit polls commissioned by the broadcasters.
Private exit polls were by financial organisations in order to get the jump on people to make much monies.
There has however been a poll conducted that asked previously polled people how they actually did vote.
Well that banks have commissioned them regardless!Exit polls are about swing based on past results and in marginals. Don't really work in referendums. A new poll based on data gathered today seems likely though.

Why would you post this without saying it is your guess?
Well what ever happens tomorrow ill have my nice new copy of Uncharted 4 to play. Mwahahaha.
Why? Perhaps you and I have a different perspective on this situation so I'm curious what your view is.
To me this is a vote whether we want to remain part of a bureaucratic structure, one that most people even on the remain side even seem to agree is a bit of a mess. By voting remain, for whatever actual reason, you're indirectly lending your support for the EU to trundle on as it is. By voting leave you're indirectly stating that you don't support the way the EU is run. Those might not be your direct motives, of course, but that's the message you're ultimately sending to those in charge of the EU and as such that's what I base my decision to vote 'leave' is grounded in, especially after some of the recent things the EU has been up to.
Here we go alt right bullshit has infested our politics. Thanks America!![]()
Wow full on batshit!
I could see that being true, sounds like something Boris would say: "Gave it my best shot".
He doesn't have any extra info really though. I mean, the polls are literally still open!
Not really, they seem to steal more from Labour than they do from the Conservatives.
It depends on what their voting % is.
Up to about 10%, Ukip are taking almost exclusively from the conservatives. After 10%, they start taking much more heavily from labour. It's still a majority tory at a 20% vote, but not by much.
Just seen one of the women at my polling station walk outside with a wrist bandage on.
Why would you post this without saying it is your guess?

The reason this whole thing has made me ashamed to be British is due to the tone of the debate. And this isn't just about immigration; it's about the breakdown of trust in society. The political class are now so uniformly distrusted that people will literally vote leave just to spite David Cameron. And elites distrust the populace to such an extent that the messaging on this topic has degenerated to mindless soundbites and scaremongering on both sides. Everyone has a low opinion of everyone else. I think these attitudes, especially distrust of elected leaders, are the most toxic forces affecting our society today.
An IndyRef "Yes" tea tbh.![]()
