So guys do we think the ubisoft games will go cheaper? getting blazblue anyway but trying to decide on the other games

Don't buy Ubisoft stuff today. Last sale they did their own mini "dailies" and are likely to do so again.

Would wait at least a couple days to see if they are doing it again.

The features get a "higher"/original discount price after like 24-48 hours (I forget, it was 48 before the flash/dalies changed). So on the 1st will be a 48 hour window on the "featured" sales prices (though they aren't shown after that due to the encore's being featured), but those are the last ones.

uhh

what?

great feature

Well I own every game on the metroidvania bundle except Salt & Sanctuary and Axiom Verge, which are both games I really want. It's cheaper to buy the whole bundle than to buy just the two separate. What happens if you buy a bundle with several games in it that you already own? Do they just get wasted or do you get them in your Steam Inventory to gift/sell?

It is a good game. Don't listen to this fella.

Shit story, shit combat. Sorry, it's a shitty game. 7 will probably be the final nail in the series coffin because Capcom can't listen to fans.

In reply to myself:

I just checked and it seems the dailies are base price like everything else, there is no "24-48 hour for this sale price" window, so WYSIWYG apparently.

They just deduct the price of the items you already own from the bundle. That's what happened with me and the Civ V Complete bundle since I already owned the base game.

What the fuck @ Doom? A month of deafening hype and it's still blowing my face off. Best SP FPS since Modern Warfare, maybe since Half-Life 2?

a) how they do that? and b) I hope they learn the right lessons from its success.

So yeah, BUY BUY BUY.

Sort of hidden deal: The Solus Project + The Ball if you have the Ball already brings the package down to 12.79, which is cheaper than the regular price of the Solus Project.

Why is third person shooter in quotes? It still holds up better as a shooter than 5 did. 5 had the sin of trying to cling on to horror and not committing to either genre.

Because in 6 if you're shooting the enemies for more than the quick-shot, you're doing it wrong. Everyone does quick-shot (or manual-aim->stun)->melee to get +5's in Merc's, there's no actual shooting going on.

I mean you can throw that critic at Bio4-5 as well, but at least they don't have an "endurance" mechanic that tires you out for doing what the game wants you to do if you want to get a high Merc score.

That goes for every bundle like that, if you own everything but one game you get the game cheaper via the bundle than buying it alone. See Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak if you own Homeworld (or the other way around).

I've only bought one game ever on Steam. (Undertale) I wonder what I should get.

I've heard good things about Trails in the Sky, Terraria, Volgarr the Viking, Spelunky, and Rogue Legacy. All of that's just $23. They're all good, right? Can I play these with a PS4 controller?

What else is good? I've been a console gamer all my entire life.

You'll need to get the necessary drivers for the PS4 controller. I have a DS3, but I *think* this also works for the DS4:

I know that Trails in the Sky definitely has controller support. I'd suggest giving the mouse and keyboard a try first, though, it's implemented very well. Also, it's a fantastic game.

This was the third item in my queue (it was the new Doom if you were wondering). All of the recommendation systems in the world and Steam's has got to be the most useless.

Serious question: How did you guys tolerate the combat system of Witcher II. I tried starting it up and I just can't do it anymore. I'm going to have to skip this one. The only other RPG that I've skipped playing after put at least 20 hours in was Dragon Age for PS3. It wasn't because it was a bad game though or anything. I definitely had more fun with its gameplay than Witcher II's...

Couldn't tolerate it in I or II. Even III is a bit of a bore but its better then the first two.

Do you remember if it was games that were already discounted that got discounted further, I remember Zombie U got discounted midsale but that wasnt on sale at the start

Interesting, I wasn't expecting the complaint that it wasn't a more prototypical shooter.

Buying the entire F.E.A.R. series for $8 last year was an amazing feeling. I don't think it was through steam though. Maybe GOG?
