Disgaea is awesome if infinite grinding and numbers are your thing.
i guess?

so far i have been forced to grind a bit and it's been entertaining but the main story missions are often just big fuck yous from the developers that don't feel like they actually designed anything other than just "ehh this is kind of funny"

there's no real strategy to that stuff, it's just lame

it sucks cos the story and characters and sense of humor are all really good

You know, I always assumed you were on gaf but I only know you through your renaming of games on Steam.
i'm everywhere!

As someone who used to play a lot of Age of Empires 2 back in the day, is there a recentish title which can scratch that itch, or dare I say a title which is a better AoE than AoE? Or should I just stick with the HD version?

Any local/couch co-op recommendations? I have a Steam Link, Steam Controller, and two Xbone controllers.

Looking for something like the Lego games to play with my gf today.

This is my first humble monthly and I didn't really want any of these games.
Cthulhu Realms is cool but I already bought it cross-platform with google play credit.

For whatever paltry few cents they're worth, will the summer card values hold steady through the sale or will they gradually decline?

For under $10 I highly recommend the indie action rpg "HARDLAND"

It's in early access but it's amazing. The developers are finishing up development of it and it's already in a very high state of polish. Those are actual in game screenshots. They are using their own custom made graphics engine. Guys, you have to see the game in motion and the insane lighting tricks it does.

Can you choose between male/female for your character or is it male only?

For whatever paltry few cents they're worth, will the summer card values hold steady through the sale or will they gradually decline?

They've been holding steady for a few days now, they might drop another penny or two by the end I guess but I wouldn't expect a lot of change.

usually decline, and they will disappear in two days, so normally their price should start dropping, but with all this horrid every card sale verification business and less cards being on the market, I'm not sure people will bother with relisting those. This is the first sale after valve did those horrible things to cards, so it's hard to predict, but I think they probably will stay at the same price till the very end.

I bought:
Stories: The Path of Destinies
Invisible Inc
Transistor
Age of Decadence
Trasformers: Devastation
Tales from Borderlands

I wound up having most of the games on Humble Monthly but I managed to sell the ones in the B/S/T thread and now I feel much better about it.

The revealed game for next month doesn't do much for me.

Pleasantly surprised by this month's Humble Monthly. Didn't own any of the games.

Here's Cthulu Realms (quote to reveal). You need to add the F2P version to your account, then activate this key to get the full version.

Any of the AC Syndicate DLC worth it?

I really enjoyed the Jack the Ripper DLC. It's a full "expansion pack" type affair that takes place after the events of the main story. If I remember correctly, it was about 7 hours long and it introduced some new game mechanics revolving around intimidating and frightening characters rather than assassinating them.

I also liked the Dreadful Crimes DLC as it padded out London with a bit more stuff to do and a new type of minigame where you investigate murders. Some of them had really good puzzles, others were pretty basic but they were all a welcome distraction as they can be played any time during the main campaign.

The Streets of London pack is more along those same lines - giving you the Darwin and Dickens missions, as well as the Runaway Train mission. These are pretty cool (and again, give you a bit more variety of stuff to do during the main campaign) but they're just more of the same types of stuff.

The Last Maharaja is the only one I haven't played, but I assume it's more of the same type of stuff as the London pack.

The season pass for $20 seems like a pretty sure bet if you're at all interested in getting these.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut

Yes/No? Any game I need to play beforehand?

Yes and no.

I am 10h into it, my first Shadowrun game, and I'm enjoying it.

For that price, everyone who's even slightly interested in it and have time to play it, should give it a spin.

Enjoy.
