Did we ever find out if Minerva's Den for BioShock 2 is necessary to get the upgrade in September yet? Or. Pretty much all that's keeping me from checking out at this point.

I think JaseC asked but I don't think he posted a response as yet. It certainly won't be required to get the base upgrade. My feeling is that it will still exist as dlc, just like it did after the gwfl removal. I don't think it will become a free part of the base game.

Ah, okay. I'll just buy. Figure I can refund later if necessary, I'd have 2 weeks - think that's the policy for refunding DLC. Thanks!

Humble Monthly's featured game is fucked. Kentucky or Satellite Reign would have been much better calling cards than Hurtworld.

Yeah, it seems the featured game is not featured to sell more subscriptions. I think the next bundle featuring COD will be tons better than people expect.

Which upgrade?

BioShock Collection is a happening thing, and if you have the base game of 1&2 you'll get the upgrade free come September, but they never really spoke to whether you'd get the DLC free if you don't own it so that's largely the question for some of us.

Cool, I didn't know that. Thats great news.

My friend and I are deciding whether to get Arma 3. Is it good for doing little bits of messing about if we're really not super serious kind of players?

I've watched some videos to get an idea of the game but some people are in zombie things, some are in some gta roleplay kind of thing and I don't get what the objective is in the game other than the description saying "most realistic military shooter" etc.:P

Other recommendations for things to do a bit of messing about with would be nice as well :)

Debating between keeping Broforce and switching it with Sega's Aliens vs. Predator reboot + AvP Classic. Anyone have thoughts on any of the three games?

Any The Long Dark vets out there? PM me!

Also going to give STALKER SoC a go, which mod? I saw two recommended but can't find what page it was (in this thread).

Holy moly, I get it, need to eat, finance new games, but some of the prices asked for Humble leftovers in BST, ewwww.

Looking for games that will make me laugh. Also, how about games with a "noir" vibe. Thanks!

Blues and Bullets

Only 2 episodes out yet, it took a long time for the second to appear and the game didn't sell much so what I'm saying is no one can guarantee that we'll see the rest. I hope we do, it's really good so far with new takes on known characters and a weird world.

Super Indie Karts looks great. Anyone have impression? It's exactly as it sounds like, its Mario Kart but with Indie game characters. It has the Mario Kart SNES aesthetic aswell

So far I've bought Subnautica (20 hours so far, but it's starting to get stale) and rise of nations extended.
I will probably buy shadowrun honk Kong, I loved the previous two games.
I also recommend this to the person asking for a noir game, if it has to be point&click then Gemini Rue and the Blackwell series.

All I've bought so far is The Flame In The Flood & I'm loving it so far, the way it shifts between slow, relaxing & languid to fast & frantic keeps me on my toes & the I doubt I'll buy anything else.

I've been buying less & less these past few steam sales, heck I didn't buy anything in the last sale. Mainly because I've more or less got the older games I wanted & I either buy newer games at release or wait for a substantial price drop. That & my backlog is massive now, I still have Stasis & Satellite Reign totally untouched.

I really love this system where if you own DLC from Complete Packs you get the bundle at a discount like GOG does it. Unfortunately its not available for all games.

Managed to snag Civ 5: Brave New World for like 4 bucks.

edit: its cheaper to buy Costume Quest 1+2 for $2 rather that Costume 2 for $3.74. wat

I bought the Dragon Ball Xenoverse+DLC bundle after going back and forth on it over the last several days. I've only been in it for 30 minutes, hope I like it and if not realize soon enough to get a refund.

I kind of agree, it wasn't suited for long play sessions in opinion, but a level or two at a time was fine.

That's how I play it also, and it does it have to be anything else? You start it up, wreck some mayhew, and just have fun for a while.

It does what it do very well, and keeps it fresh with new characters, weapons, enemies and mechanics throughout the whole game.

Playing through Hard Reset again with the Redux version, and it kinda feels less frantic than the original. There you could quickly die if you weren't careful (even on normal), but here it seems like the enemy count has been reduced, feels like a breeze. It's still a lot of fun, but I feel like comparing it to the original release now. I also don't get the inclusion of a sword, it doesn't fit in this game at all.

Anyone else using Enhanced Steam 8.6 with Firefox 48beta5? ES stopped working/loading and updating to b5 is the only change I can think of.

The only reason Redux exists is because they decided to port the game to consoles. I assume that's why they toned down the difficulty.

Whats so bad about Adventure Time: Secret of the Nameless Kingdom? It looks like an amazing Zelda clone going by youtube vids. Was it the price when it came out? Its now full priced at $5.

Anyone have any suggestions for some space combat games? Kind of like Freespace 2 or something but tons better graphics? (even with the mods)

What's the best survival game right now? Really want to try one out.
There's Arc, Long Dark, The Forest, but from reading the reviews on steam I'm a little bit cautious now. Any recommendations?

Depends. Subnautica is a bit lighter toned. Forest is great and creepy as heck. Long Dark is pretty gnarly, needs a lot of thinking.

If you get forest we can party up and play.
