I apparently left minutes before this happened. Just as I got on the highway I was suddenly seeing police cars speeding towards the protest site.
It was super peaceful when I was there. Just people walking and chanting, sitting in the park and watching. Police were standing to the side not interfering.

What did the Police institution think would happen with all these videos of Black people being unjustly killed by Police? Years of oppression, racism and executions. It was bound to happen.

I would love for that to happen.
My personal thought is that as generations move on, society in general are more and more separated through use of personal technology and know less and less how to interact with each other let alone get along. Combine that with stereotypes, easy gun access, and other possible things and some people just go right over the edge. That's not even getting into the psyche of individuals that might do something like this for a volatile list of combined factors which allow them to go do stuff like this.
I don't think there is any easy answer like we need to learn to live together, better gun control, pay attention to the signs of people close to you that they may do something like this, ...etc.
I just pray everyone that is hurt can get the help they need and that everyone else is safe.
