Sadly this kind of stuff will always happen as long any idiot in america can own a freaking gun.

But it will never change what is just crazy.

Bombs......guns......one is more plentiful than the other but there's still going to be violence. How are you going to confiscate all the guns in this country?

Let's hope no more officers are declared deceased.

I really don't get these comments. Do people even realize that Texas is one of the last states to allow open carry? Here is a map showing what states allowed open carry in 2014, before Texas finally allowed it recently. So the "Oh right...Texas" mentality really doesn't make sense other than reinforcing a stereotype.

I thought otherwise and I apologize. I do know AZ has a open carry law and people were displaying their guns back in 2012 when the RNC was here.

"I'm all for equality but this wasn't the way to do it!" 🙄🙄🙄

The responsible thing to do would have been to politely cut in and remind the witness that they do not know the killer's motives and that it is irresponsible to speculate. But, CNN.

Wow I hope he got out safely, this vid needs to spread like wildfire, that image is all over. :

He did get out safely, he turned himself in to police.

Probably best he stay in a station for a while, anyway. So much misinformation about him out in the world.

Don Lemon: I don't want to say what hotel you're in

Meanwhile, CNN's caption already identified his very location.

It literally says "HIDING IN....."

Isn't that the point of watching the footage? To see what happened?

He turned himself in and is safe.

I mean end this madness... not the footage... but I am in shock and I hope that cop is ok.. this is flat out insane.

Edit: Thank god the fucks are in custody.

CNN is something else. They're telling the guy who filmed the video not to name the hotel he is staying in while listing it out in their banner

As someone who lives in Dallas:

1. Open carrying is not common. In fact, I've never actually seen someone doing it in the wild.
2. Everyone knows the law well enough to know that if you do see someone open carrying, it's weird, but not illegal.

I hear you. I live on Phoenix, and neither have I. But this was a protest so I wouldn't be surprised to see open carry.

Apparently the poster I was referring to doesn't since he wants the cops called on them.

wtf is up with these news channels showing people getting blown up and shot to death recently? have we fucking lost our minds?

I just finished The Witcher 3 latest DLC and going to GAF to write about it, then I read this shit. The movement for a reform is basically killed. These murderers are enforcing the stereotypes around black people that they are a bunch of thugs. You can be outraged, and sad about what happened to the guy who was killed a couple of days ago(and many before him), but doing all this damage goes against what they were protesting against.

It's just a tragic night and I hope that the people who are hurt recover.

I'm disgusted with that local news channel

They didn't even have the fucking decency to look at the video before they aired it

Absolutely unjustifiable.
