Its so monumentally depressing that the loud minority shoots to the top of these discussions, forcing people to PICK A SIDE.
Its completely and 100% possible to sympathize with BLM, understand why they are upset, to be sad for the families of the people needlessly killed by police, while at the same time feeling solidarity and support for the police who lost 5 officers and to feel sad for their families.
They aren't mutually exclusive.
I truely believe most people feel that way. but you don't hear from them. You hear from the loudest, most hateful, on either side, trying to pull people apart.
