Infinitely better than Lucios current legendary skins. I hope Blizzard adopts this idea.
Zenyatta's 20, though it's still kinda neat that so many of the cast are just adults. Like grown ass adults, not 20 somethings or teenagers.

Mei is only person where the reasoning behind her staying young is a bit iffy. Everyone else looks reasonable for their age.

How in the world are you excusing Mercy? Not saying a 37-year-old can't look like she does, but her "oh I'm using secrets to stay young looking" excuse is kind of a cop-out.

Personally, I think 37 isn't as "old" as it used to be. For example, Marisa Tomei in Captain America looks great, I was surprised to learn she is in her 50s. I think with the artstyle Mercy more or less looks appropriate, she doesn't look as young as someone like D.Va who has things like bigger eyes and a rounder face, which is usually attributed to younger characters.

Mercy is a health oriented character, so I can totally buy that between healthy eating/living, positive psychological outlook (reducing the effects of stress) and probably using some of that healing magic on herself, on top of 37 not being that old an age at all, she looks believable for her age.
That said, it'd be super cool of blizzard to introduce an elder woman into the mix. One of the things I love about overwatch is its proud diversity, but it does seem to have a penchant for youthful looking women all the same. There was fan art of a new character that was an old lady, and if blizzard can see the brilliance of a sentient gorilla and a gamer in a mech, they should see the epic and awesome potential of having an old biddy that can wreck the enemy team's shit.

I'm around that age and look much younger. I'm not saying that isn't possible. I'm saying it's funny that the oldest female character in the game has a specifically-stated excuse for looking younger, which seems to follow the trend of a lot of media.
I'd actually really like if the "older" women in the game looked more like their age. At least one clearly older looking lady. Too many convenient story reasons to keep them girls spry and perky. I just like older character in games anyway. They just have this aura of being experienced and badass.
I love how Reinhardt is 60 and yet he can still wear heavy armor and lift a giant hammer.
And none of the ladies are THAT old. But having old women is definitely welcomed.

That Mei one may already be a bit too excessive, but the site the watermark leads to... yeesh. You may want to edit that one out.
She looks like she could be in mid thirties to lower forties. I think the main issue is with TV and Movies. They keep having people in their upper twenties to even lower thirties playing high schoolers.
Go look at what actual high schoolers look like and they seem to be all really young kids.
Heroes Reborn was one of the few recent things that got it right in terms of character ages and how they should look.

It's quite frankly, absolutely bullshit.
EDIT: And all of you people bringing up celebrities with millions of dollars to make themselves look pretty just prove my point further. We have men in the game of all shapes and sizes. With the women? We have super skinny and hot (no matter the age) and slightly chubby. Wow. Such diversity.
But who am I kidding? I'm arguing this in a thread where 85% of the art are the female characters in sexy clothing with bigger breasts than the original artists gave them.

And none of them are as old as Reinhardt or Torbjorn. When we have a woman aged 50 that looks as young as D.va, then you'd have a point.

A pity that we can't make avatars out of those due to the watermark, but an artist must do what he must do.
The older men are also more damaged. Soldier 76 is scarred and had his hair whitened, Genji is very ugly, and we don't even see Reapers face. But (and this is a straight male speaking, so take this with a grain of salt), both McCree and Hanzo look like male supermodels as well. It's possible that Soldier, Genji, and Reaper would be pretty like them without the damage. The only one I'd guess is truly ugly is Roadhog.
None of this takes away from your ultimate point here. This game aesthetic is designed around beauty of one kind or another. Many fall into the traditional standards of beauty and attractiveness. Others fall into a more stylistic sense of beauty, such as a Todd McFarlane type of character in reaper or a mad max style with junkrat and roadhog. So you have the women looking like supermodels as well and nearly every metric of beauty for women has them as youthful.
I do t think this is a bad thing necessary, meaning trying to make every character attractive. It's an idealization that women have been up to now excluded from. So while you have your traditional supermodel ladies, Mei and Zarya being a supermodel chubby girl and a supermodel bodybuilder is a welcome change from most games or even movies.
That said, you're right that it's a double standard that only youthful women are idealized while youthful men and older men can be in the same tier of beauty. Where men can be youthful or ruggish, a ruggish woman is automatically assumed to be an undesirable one. It's not fair, I agree, and I hope blizzard offers an idealized older woman that isn't idealized because she's youthful looking.

What about Zarya? She is definitely no super skinny super model. Sure women could use more size types but lets not pretend like most of the men aren't in shape and toned/skinny. Even Roadhog has muscle. He just happens to have a beer belly.
