I think it's just that she has not been a leader in a recent game (a running theme with the leaders so far) and she's the most well-known Ancient Egyptian ruler.Cleopatra is an odd one, are they going for Hellenic Egypt?
Well played.

Awwww shit. His work in Civ 4 was just legendary, now I'm even more excited!
It isn't CIV without Monty waging war on everyone and getting eliminated by the end of the Renaissance eraIf Shaka and Monty are in the base game, that'd be amazing.

....Tojo? Of all people, Tojo? Wut?
Constantine for Rome? Looks like one of his busts or one from that era.
Kind of sick of Ghandi, can't we get an actual ruler of India and from non-modern times? Let's get some Chandragupta I or Chandragupta Maurya up in here.
Really like the idea of Hojo, Pericles, Barbarossa and Henry IV. Mixing things up is good. Nice to have fresh faces. Also kind of sad to see no North America or Pacific Island nations represented, but I'm sure we'll see them and more shortly after launch as DLC and in whatever expansions they put out.
the cat at the end is a civet "civ it" it's a pun...
Objectively the best video game song ever. When a song made for a video game wins a Grammy, becomes a staple in African gospel choices all over the world and is played at an United Nations General Assembly you know it's something special.

Ghandi is a Civ tradition at this point. No way they're ever gonna have anyone else unless they reintroduce multiple rulers per civ.
Huh, Trajan. Great choice. Totally looked at a busts of him and didn't see it. Really thought it would be Constantine. Even though he's technically a Roman emperor, and really they all were, he would be more suited to Byzantium though.
Boo. India has a rich history with many fascinating and interesting leaders, cultures and dynasties.
Trajan as the Roman leader is interesting. They'll probably a more warring/expansionist oriented Civ this time around.
