Not going to happen with an RX480.
All the new games will have to support and use the neopower? Or the developer decides this?
Yo. If this is true and works with FFXV, day fucking 1.
Maybe.With a VCR sized PS4, yes!
Wait, does that mean i can't play a game like Witcher 3 on Neo due to it being released in 2015? Confused...

And we will see a PS2-OXB Market situation...
It's onQ123, he's long since been obsessed with the idea that the Neo will "uprender" games to 4K. I don't understand his posts as I don't see anything in the presentation that points to anything else than upscaling or native rendering.Won't do 4K by upscaling, you're all idiots...
Will do 4K by uprendering, take that and party, losers
Joke post? I can't tell anymore.

No, it means Witcher won't get a bump in performance, unless it gets an update/patch. While all games after that date will have it.Wait, does that mean i can't play a game like Witcher 3 on Neo due to it being released in 2015? Confused...
In sales it sure won't.this is gonna get destroyed by the scorpio isnt it
So 2016 release or 2017? Why are people saying 2017?

Well it is an old doc. Last verified insider rumor had them aiming for 5.5TF.
Most will overlook that, but at least Xbox fans will have that bragging point again. However the power difference will keep shifting every 3 years or so if that's the new hardware cycle.
Sounds good enough for me. Price will be the big factor now.
Game of the Year Edition is coming out after October, so possibly it will get an upgrade patch.
Could very well be the case. They have been great with updates. Game is much better then when I first bought it.Game of the Year Edition is coming out after October, so possibly it will get an upgrade patch.
Just under 4tflops.
Probably should get this out in the fall to get one holiday under its belt.
The power difference is huge but rumour is Sony held back neo at e3 to fiddle with specs a bit after finding out what Microsoft is doing.

Why is Sony so conservative with core clocks? RX 480 total board power is only 150W at 1266MHz with 8GBs of 8Gbps GDDR5. They could come in well under that with a chip clocked at 1085MHz and reach 5TF.

CDPR is pretty good about post game support. I would def expect a neo patch for Witcher 3
Be shocked if Uncharted 4 didn't get a patch too, especially with a chunky DLC on the way.

So it won't support games released before october 2016 out the box? If so the neo is dead to me.

No mention of reduced HDD bottlenecks is a bummer. Please. Shit load times have to go.
This also confirms what I've been talking about which some here didn't realize and that is that sub 4K resolutions will likely be used a lot. Resolutions between 1440p and 2160p. Some people here think it's either 4K or 1080p.
Also interesting is no higher clocks in base mode, so unpatched games can't benefit for example with a more stable framerate which is a bummer.
So it won't support games released before october 2016 out the box? If so the neo is dead to me.
It'll run them similar to how a PS4 will run them. It'll require a patch (if made available by the dev) to run them with increased graphics. So it won't support games released before october 2016 out the box? If so the neo is dead to me.
